i sent an e-mail to bulkypix, the developer of Hysteria, and asked when it will be released... and i just received an answer: "Hi Pante, The game has been submitted and we are now waiting for approval. Thank you for your interest on Hysteria Project. Yessir, I'm excited for this. Too bad it will only apparently last 30-60mins, but hey - it is something new and worth at least trying out!
If you're into Choose Your Own Adventure games, then you'll probably want to shortlist Hysteria Project. I know it's on mine
i waited for this game so long... really can't wait. btw, i think blair witch project is one of the most terrifying horrors filmed in the last couple of years...
As pante mentioned, it definitely has that Blair Witch feel to it which right away makes it different from other Choose Your Own Adventure apps. Not sure if I would worry too much about it being short. Longer doesn't always mean better.
I am definitely picking this one up. It looks way better than that Nick Jr. type game "Alternate Endings" haha.
Alternate Endings wasn't bad. The actors didn't come off too cheesy, and you have to consider it was the first of its kind for the iPhone/iPod Touch.
That's true, it wasn't too bad but I did expect a bit more from it. I'm more of a horror buff so you know I'm leaning more towards Hysteria Project in this genre.
30 minutes is indeed short which saddens me And don't worry, I still have Alternate Endings on my iPhone. I didn't delete it hehe..............yet
I haven't decided if I'll buy this game yet. I might just because it looks like a lot of effort was put into filming and putting it together. I'll probably die right away though. I would die first if this was a horror movie. 'Dumdedum, going to check the box in the basement by myself because the lights went out.'
FYI. it has been in submission since the press releases were posted (around feb 23) on various sites. the game is different and unique and fun.
Since you're in tight with them, can you ask if they plan to have frequent episodes on a scheduled basis? Would be cool if we could look forward to episodes like a TV show.
