Default Age Of Hearts Casino Poker - Free

We finally released our Video Poker app for IOS,
approval from apple took some time, Android port/AmigaOS/MorphOS is already out ...

The game we made is an adaption of an arcade poker machine we played in bars and snack stores when we were young. We spent lots of time and burned lots of cash back then...

Anyway, it was a great gaming-experience, so we decided to recreate this kind of game for computers, tablets and mobile phones.
Of course we also added new features, mini games and all those things we dreamed of back then.

This is the Appstore info ..

Constructive critics are more than welcome !

Default Game Impressions

I was keen to try this as I am into card games (having even developed a couple myself!). It's generally a fun, polished production and enjoyable to play. My main criticism would be that it's just a bit too "naggy": I chose the 10 minute challenge to start off with and within 1 minute it was pestering me to post spurious things on Facebook and within 2 minutes a random screen popped up -- deliberately stalling the game with a "Buy" button for something that I didn't even understand. (I stress: it's fair enough that the game sells me in-app items, but it should offer the opportunity to do so in a less intrusive way and clearly explain What The Thing Is that it's trying to sell you IMO...)

So, overall this is a great game and a nicely implemented app, but I think it would be a better playing experience to limit the pestering just a little bit: maybe ONE Facebook post at the end of each challenge, for example, and in-app purchases that are clearly explained to the user and which pop up at less intrusive moments. Let me at least play the damn game for 10 minutes!!

Well the facebook / Achievment message is not "only" pesting ...
it says you made an achievement, and you COULD get some bonus if you share on facebook ...

The second is the waiting screen, appearing all 4:30 minutes - it also includes a minigame with a 33% chance to skip this process ...

For the achievment, experience up messages, once you played a while this will be rare for sure first gameplays first hands you get lots of medals ..

I agree. IAP Locked Modes should be explained to the user, maybe with its own info screen including the Price. This way the user knows what he is getting for his money.

You guys are old school, so you should still have those Apogee and ID Software Shareware Nag Screens of old days in mind. Something like that might do the trick maybe?

Otherwise this is a very polished product which everyone should check out, especially for free. Will give this one a review soon.

Cheers!

"IAP Locked Modes should be explained to the user"

what you mean with that ?!?!?!
its really strange people said "I would like to give 5 stars, but due nag screens i reduce to 3" ...

Hi, I love this game and bought the full version via the free game, but every day when I open up the game, it's reverted back to the free version! Is there a way to fix this - and so it can keep any earnings I've earned? It's the one annoying part of an otherwise really awesome poker game. Thanks.

This is very strange behavoir ... well if you tap the "Buy" button it will for sure redeem to full without charging you, we are at the moment fixing this problem, it seems happen when the game is closed by terminating process instead of the "exit" button ... sorry for that , we try to fix it asap !

Thanks for your response! If you fix that, I think this game is a real winner. Excellent graphics and gameplay and totally fun.
