"Talking to Polygon, Meier revealed that Pacific Skies would not be free-to-play, unlike the original iOS title. This is the result of feedback from players, who apparently would have preferred to pay upfront for Ace Patrol."

"The other big surprise regarding Pacific Skies is the planned launch window. 2K will bring the sequel to iOS and PC this autumn, a matter of months after the original game hit the App Store."

What? You mean they actually listened to criticism and feedback? Inconceivable.

    Outrageous! The insult!

No but seriously i am soooo happy :'-) It gladdens my heart so much.

Since I got on iPad I have fallen in love with turn-based strategy games and ace patrol has always been one of those games that I have wanted to spend a lot of time with. But the freemium aspect has always been so off putting.

It would be nice if EA made a similar announcement.

    SWEEEEET!!

Great news! Hopefully the multiplayer will be more objective based compared to Ace Patrol...

Speaking of, if anyone wants to add me for multiplayer in Ace Patrol, feel free.....GameCenter: (Twenty-One)

If reports are correct, it will pop out like magic when the release window hits the US tonight.
