Definitely pick it up if you're looking for a good match-3 RPG. Be sure to check out Puzzle Quest 2, which is significantly better, if you turn out to enjoy this game. awp69 Well-Known Member Oct 30, 2009 8,249 0 36 Greenville, SC #3 awp69, Oct 25, 2011 Enjoyed PQ on my Xbox 360 and will now pick it up for the iOS, but even though it is listed as Free, it's still asking if I want to "buy" it so not sure if it's ready to go yet. Also consider buying chpt 2 if you finish the first Psac42 Well-Known Member Jan 9, 2011 417 1 18 #5 Psac42, Oct 26, 2011 Does ch 2 only come into play if you complete ch 1? AnarKitty Well-Known Member Oct 10, 2010 3,654 0 0 Minneapolis, USA #6 AnarKitty, Oct 26, 2011 Since I've never owned either, what is the difference between the Transgaming-produced PuzzleQuest and Namco's Puzzle Quest 2? Is one significantly better than the other, are they especially different, etc? I'm considering going all in one this one with chapters 1 & 2 and getting 3 as IAP, but the other one looks really good, too. Color me, um, puzzled. LOLavi Well-Known Member May 23, 2011 8,364 0 0 iPhone gamer Finland #7 LOLavi, Oct 26, 2011 Yeah and Dungeon Saga, I really wanna know which one is the best of those 3 Psac42 Well-Known Member Jan 9, 2011 417 1 18 #8 Psac42, Oct 26, 2011 Definitely not Dungeon Saga. Not a terrible game, but PQ1 (played back on the PSP, just downloaded now), PQ2 and Dungeon Raid are all much better. PQ2 isn't bad, and adds things like weapons which you can use in combat, giving you different options, etc., but it's a piece of very poor programming. It's 1.3GB, and by no means should be that large. I've played many games a third of that size which are MUCH more complex. Also (prob because of the size), you face a LOT of long load times for no good reason. Dungeon Raid is in the same genre, but is a play one game until you die type instead of a long RPG-type experience. However, something about DR just draws you in. Amazing game. Definitely one of my top three iOS games so far. I loved PQ1 Ch1 on the PSP (which is why I wish I could skip to ch 2) -- 4.5 / 5 stars I liked PQ2 -- 3.5 / 5 Dungeon Saga -- 3/5 Dungeon Raid -- 4.5/5 (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
