I use Mobile News from the Associated Press, that's the organization everyone else gets there news from. It's free so easily worth checking out.

I just added a bookmark folder with bookmarks for all the major news sites (mobile versions) and that seems to do the trick while saving space and icon clutter.

    m.cnn.com
    iphone.foxnews.com
    m.aljazeera.net
    news.bbc.co.uk/mobile/

Even your local newspaper probably has a mobile version of their website now. :D

The NY Times app has the best content, but it very slow to update with new stories.

AP Mobile News is the leader. I like the ask and answer question option.

I like Distant Suns by Mike Smithwick - it's just fantastic, no other way to describe it. If you're at all interested in astronomy or what's going on in the skies, get it, (it's the real news to me).
Wunder Radio together with Pandora are the two best radio streaming apps, good for audio news.
Despite the huge volume being created and coming out right now there are a lot of new duds as well - just because they're new doesn't necessarily mean that they are good. A lot of stuff is coming out too soon to be ready.

  9. yep same one I use.

Liquid. There's a lite version. The makers of iBeer should get some ideas on water physics from that.

'BBC Reader' is good. It is free and provides news from all around the world in customisable sections. I would really recommend it.

    Why so curious?
I'm a news junkie, so I have most of the apps by well-known news organizations like AP, Reuters, USA Today, Bloomberg, the NYT and the WSJ. I think all of them are worth having in your iDevice if you're a news junkie. If you don't mind a little loading time, nothing beats the NYT and the WSJ in terms of depth and quality of articles.

    Best iPhone News App

You should check out News Feed in the top 10 paid news app. It takes all your favorite news and even websites and combines them into a great UI that lets you save articles offline and tilt your iPhone to scroll through pages. There's a link to their app at http://smartestapple.com
