UPDATE: I was qrong regarding the cities in the GBA version. It had the two cities, but instead of choosing "arcade" or "original", you just chose city 1 or city 2. Just booted it up to check. Oh my, didn't remember the GBA had such bad graphics. It was amazing at the time nonetheless
While the frame rate on my 4S is ok, it is a little bit beneath that of my third gen iPad. It zips along fine on the 4S but on the new iPad it's identical to the Dreamcast in terms of performance, and is noticeable when going from one to the other. Did someone mention that there's a "fix" by signing out of GameCenter? And how do we report/rid GameCenter of the cheats keeping me off the top of two game modes? Idiots.
Yeah, I mentioned this "Game Center-logout-fix". Before this message appears at the top of the screen (welcome back, *username*), the game center loading process can sometimes let the game crash while loading the in-game processes at the same time. If you logout of Game Center before, it doesn't load this --> more free processor --> less crashing (at my device at least).
Thanks guys. As I said, no issues on iPad with GC but the 4S isn't as smooth. Also, I'm playing offline and just beat the top score on 3 minute game after being 2nd for a few hours. When I get back online will my high score be uploaded to Game Centre?
widescreen support? I didn't look through all 17 pages on this thread just the last couple ones. Is there any word of the game getting updated to support the iPhone 5 widescreen?
So has there been any confirmation on a true way to do the Limiter Cut yet? I've seen Db2 post their idea on achieving it, but I'm not seeing the same results. I *did* do it mashing the controls during a drift but I have not been able to recreate it.
That's a crazy dash, not a limiter cut. The limiter cut lets you go faster than your allowed top speed, and can be stacked! It's all you do on consoles if you want top scores.
I *think* I'm achieving a Limit Cut by doing a Crazy Dash first then quickly tapping R then D D quickly. Definitely seem far quicker then a normal dash.
By hitting D several times you get very high speeds, over normal top speed. If you usually go at 140km/h top speed, by hitting D several times when you're at 140km/h, you can get to 220km/h. In fact, that's the only way you can get past level S-S from the crazy box. You don't need to be drifting, just hit D several times while at top speed.
title Is anyone else looking to see if there is a way to unlock the Rickshaw? Because I am. So far I have had no such luck.
Leaderboards are so screwed up. This DarkLordofGaming is a complete and utter tosser. Why aren't they banned yet? They do that shit in every game. You couldn't even count that high in your lifetime, how is any dev or apple going to think those are legit scores?
I've had many great time playing Crazy Taxi! Good to hear back on relevant device. Playing hard to win. Great port from when I played first on PS1.
