This Odyssey Edition completes the package with the inclusion of The Red Odyssey, a formidable expansion featuring additional playable factions, campaigns, vehicles and more!
------------
Enter an alternate vision of the 1960s where the space race is nothing more than a cover for an interplanetary war between the US and Soviet Russia over mysterious alien bio-metal.
Take command of an army of sleek heavy assault tanks, strike cruisers, APCs and more, and wreak havoc with super-heated projectiles in your mission to blast your enemy from the face of the Moon, Mars, Venus, Titan, Io, Europa and more.
Control your array of vehicles with the retro user interface that added to the unrelenting and uncompromising nature of some of the earliest RTS classics!
Scavenge the battlefield for crucial bio-metal, deploy powerful defenses, construct advanced facilities and escalate each battle to an epic confrontation.
Revolutionary, revitalized and remastered, Battlezone 98 Reduxs blend of thrilling first person action and old-school PC strategy gameplay is as essential now as it ever was.

Nothing mentioned about MFI controller support . Can this be right?

Edit : dev confirmed no MFI on twitter - sadly not going to make my purchase list without it for this kind of game.

Sorry, me too. Regardless it is "premium" or not, this game really calls for controller support...

Damn, dealbreaker. Maybe the devs will work on it? If i had a commitment out of them Id buy it, but at $10 with no Mfi, its tough, Ive played on PC and you NEED mouse/gamepad. Because this game gets hard AF later on, no reason to make it even harder x.x

TEN DOLLERY-DOOS!?

Don't know about you guys but Battlezone was all about the vector graphics for me. This game looks hideous.

The 1998 Battlezone was one of the first action RTSes. It's very much not a joystick game and very much not the arcade game. Think first person Command & Conquer with a heavy influence from stuff like Mechwarrior 2: Mercenaries.

It was considered one of the best games of the 90s and if this is accurate to that one this is absolutely huge. Dig up some old reviews for more.

Looks legit: http://store.steampowered.com/app/30...zone_98_Redux/

This thread discusses why even the Steam version doesn't really work for controller: http://steamcommunity.com/app/301650...2703859163714/

I play lots of games, especially async ones. You can add me on GC: geoelectric

Indeed it's legit. The second one was even better with the ability to go on foot but this is quite impressive for a mobile title. And the fact that you control lots of units with commands means that it's not a game that works with a controller indeed. Still, would have loved something more "mobile friendly" like Evil Genius.

Havent posted on forums for a while but the fact that they made this into mobile amazes me. I love the battlezone games (particularly battlezone 2) and to see them even attempt this is mind blowing.

I have no idea how it would work without controller support or without the HUD looking bloated on mobile, but still unbelievable to me.
Not many other games out there like these 2 old classics. I hope it goes well and they release BZ2!
