Recommendations on the best video/screen capture software for making game trailers?

Just wondering if any game devs out there could recommend screen capture software for creating good game trailers? We did look into getting out mitts on a copy of Display Recorder for iPad but in the end we would have had to jailbreak our devices which we didn't really want to do. Anyway, any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Oh and we're using macs.
