Hello Everyone, Finally after months of hard work we are getting closer to launch our first iPhone / iPod Touch game. Nightmare Escape is a fast paced - survival action game - challenging and brutal. But our main focus is on the quality so we won't rush the game out if it doesn't live up to our standards Just to let you guys know where we are with the game: The artwork is 95% percent done. Currently we are working on creating some brutal deaths for the enemies - it's a lot of fun At the same time we are looking at optimizing the game so that it will run smooth and load fast! Plus we are testing for bugs and also refine the gameplay, balancing all the parameters to make it play great and rewarding. I can tell you this: it won't be an easy game, management of money and ammo will make a huge difference. But it won't be impossible to play either! @sammysin: Yeah! We hear you! I'm thinking the one that just launched isn't the same as what this thread's game was going to be. The dev name is different, for one, and this forum hasn't been touched since 2010. When I saw the current "Nightmare -Escape-" (http://appshopper.com/games/nightmare-escape) I came to the forums to see what everyone else was thinking because it looks a lot like "Limbo" to me as well. Since the dev has no other apps, the description is so sparse, and the screenshots are underwhelming, I was pretty sure that it was a sub-par clone at best, and an outright scam at worst. I'm not willing to pay the 99¢ to find out though.
Based on the app store reviews, I'd say Collin is right. Someone took the name and Is banking on the fact that it looks a bit like Limbo to sell it. Shame, really. Bc it sounds like the original developer (before disappearing) was really invested and excited about making a quality game, as opposed to the quick buck the new developer is out to get.
