Wow this looks incredibly stupid... When the link game showed on the Wii u controler it looked like it was the inventory for the game. That to me is stupid. Im not gonna keep reaching down to the contoler to change from a boomerang to a grappling hook when theres a massive battle going! Correct me if im wrong but you still use the wii remotes and you cant possibly hold it all at the same time. Then your going to keep on juggling remotes and getting tangled up. The only innovative thing is the fact that you can keep playing when the tv is turned on on the Wii U controler. Its basically a ipad with buttons with half the functionality.
You can use either/or. Not both at the same time. Backwards compatibility with the Wii. Wii U isn't really competing with the iPad in this sense. It's not a mobile device. If you want an iPad, get an iPad. Because that's not what this is trying to be.
More gimmicky crap from nintendo. I should've guessed. Part of me was hoping they'd actually make a proper console with a normal controller and more power.
Are you kidding me? Their new main controller isn't some upgrade motion control device to combat the Move and the Kinect, it's a tablet. Reggie's talking about it and the accelerometer and internet functions on G4 right now. Nintendo has been crowing the last 6 months about gearing up to combat the iPhone, so why wouldn't they do it for the iPad as well?
There is a new console its like a port connecting it all and Reggie just said on G4 that it has 1080p HD graphics and it is to replace the Wii console
Well apparentely, its not a device that you can just take around wherever and play like an ipad. So ummmm.....
What is wrong with Nintendo lately? It's like they're not even trying anymore. I thought with all the money they made off of the Wii, there would be some sort of console renaissance going on now. Instead, I'm wondering why Apple hasn't put an App Store on Apple TV yet and simply crush Nintendo.
They could have a least made it so you could take it with you like the ipad!! It would be cool if it could have read discs off of the wii and take it with you and connect it with another tv so you could go over to your freinds house and play together a part you cant beat having paused the game at home.
The iPad isn't a gaming device, it has sold for mainly other purposes. That's why. I don't think this will affect iPad sales at all.
