Gabrien Well-Known Member Nov 24, 2009 5,148 0 36 #5 Gabrien, May 1, 2013 No, it's quite different from Tiny Wings. Very leisurely pace at first, and a simplicity which belies its depth. Also for those who aren't aware, this is by the same guy who made Karoshi and They Need To Be Fed, which for mine is all you need to know. Greyskull Well-Known Member Dec 13, 2009 5,588 1 38 Photographer/Social Sciences adjunct/sweet sweet l Fort Lauderdale #6 Greyskull, May 1, 2013 Yup, that is all I need to know. I have to remember to check "other apps by this developer" more often. Connector Well-Known Member May 6, 2012 15,512 1 0 In the Chatroom http://thechatroom.freeforums.net/ #7 Connector, May 1, 2013 You use your right thumb to determine how high the fish will jump to get stars. Not like tiny wings at all. Kinda a cross between angry birds and an endless runner. Pretty fun, worth trying for sure. Considering I've said I'll always have both TNTBF games and Karoshi on every single device I ever own, I was pretty disappointed in this to be honest. I know it's not geared towards the same crowd as the above mentioned games, but I just didn't find much to it and eventually deleted it after reaching the second world. Not for me, I guess. Gabrien Well-Known Member Nov 24, 2009 5,148 0 36 #10 Gabrien, May 1, 2013 I'd recommend giving it another chance if you can be bothered, only because it is in world 2 and 3 that slightly different mechanics and goals begin to come into play and add a fair bit of depth to the gameplay. metalcasket Moderator Staff Member Patreon Silver Patreon Gold Patreon Bronze May 24, 2010 11,064 1,340 113 Deepest Circle, Hel #11 metalcasket, May 1, 2013 Don't have to tell me twice. On it. metalcasket Moderator Staff Member Patreon Silver Patreon Gold Patreon Bronze May 24, 2010 11,064 1,340 113 Deepest Circle, Hel #12 metalcasket, May 1, 2013 Ladies and germs, I have firmly been put in my place. This is astoundingly good. My first impressions playing the game a while ago were basically "That's it? I hit a star, I don't hit a star...it doesn't matter? There are no consequences?" Well, I'm quite the nitwit here. I never bothered knowing exactly how to "perfect" a level, and after reaching I believe the 4th set of levels right now and not being able to continue...I finally got my first "perfect". On the first level. After about 20 tries. When you realize just how much depth there is to the gameplay, how difficult it is to hit those stars precisely enough to get all 5 segments of each of them...damn! Trust me, pay no attention to the "relaxing experience" comment in the app description...there's one hell of a game hidden behind it's simplicity. Bloody hell...this is superb. You'd be a complete tool not picking this up for free. Hell, as Gabrien would say, wait till it's a paid app again and then get it. Elegant and accurate controls. Don't get fooled by the simple looking screenshots: Brutal hard to get full score (I accomplished that in three levels only but will try harder) in all levels. Cool splashy atmosphere. Subscribe to the TouchArcade YouTube channel 2Dcube Member Feb 9, 2011 16 2 3 #16 2Dcube, May 1, 2013 Interesting to read the comments here. I don't consider this game to be as good as my others, there's a lot of missed potential. But it makes me happy to read the positive comments here. Yeah, the good part of the game is trying to get perfects, but the game doesn't introduce this concept well to the player. Kudos sink_or_swim Well-Known Member Feb 4, 2012 3,504 5 38 Germany #18 sink_or_swim, May 1, 2013 Fantastic game, it's really hard to get a perfect on every level. And once again, Andy's score is crazy. How many days of constant playing have you spent with this game? Capricornman Well-Known Member Dec 8, 2011 2,993 0 0 #19 Capricornman, May 1, 2013 Give me a chance, I just started playing Capricornman Well-Known Member Dec 8, 2011 2,993 0 0 #20 Capricornman, May 1, 2013 Really nice game! Does it take awhile for scores to upload to GC? I'm at a little over 1800 and it's still showing an earlier lower score. The controls are fantastic and the music is very good!
