I feel okay about that. I thought he was a good Daredevil, even if the movie was far from perfect. Now that he's older, I think he could pull off a pretty good Batman. Definitely a good Bruce Wayne.

If the script is good actually anyone could play Batman... Ben Affleck had some bad Movies in his past and some good once. It all will depend on the script and how the Crew around the new Director/Producer/... will manage to put all those small Puzzle Pieces together. For all those that already have forgotten what the last time had happened: When Heath Ledger was announced as the new Joker all we got for Months were Jokes like... ...or worse and many thought that it would turn into an YMCA - Teenage - Westside - Love Story. And then when the Movie launched everyone was stunned by the performance from Heath Ledger. Let`s just wait till we see the first Teaser Trailer of the Movie since till then each thought about the Movie is really wasted.
Talk about overreaction ! I remember people laughing when John Travolta was cast in Tarantinos Pulp Fiction. Lots and lots and lots of people slated that decision. Agree with Sanuku, the Heath Ledger criticism was a joke. Sometimes fans seem to think they know it all. It 'might' be a bad move but again it depends on the script/director as he says.
I thought it was following a similar plot to The Return of the Dark Knight and therefore an older Bats. I was hoping Josh Brolin would snag it. Oh well I imagine there will be a fair bit of "mask on" material which should keep Afleck from cheesing it up too much.
I just rewatched TDKR yesterday for the first time since I saw it in theaters. His trilogy is truly a masterpiece, even more so for not fallin apart in the third entry.
People said the same about Ledger as Joker, and Hathaway as Catwoman. Both completely stunned the audience, and did a U-turn on their opinion. I don't see why people can't just hold back their opinion until they have hard evidence of him acting as Wayne/Batman.
Ya I'm not gonna judge yet until I see a trailer Hopefully the Batcave in the reboots will be more similar to the comics.
