Pico Bandito is a classic style 2D platformer. You control the character by dragging the map around instead of using a virtual D-pad.

Update: Video now available and I'm in the process of submitting the game to the App Store right now!

That actually sounds like an interesting control mechanism. I'm not sure how it would work out in practice, but it's definitely intriguing.

    I also agree.

Do you move the map back and forth or in all directions? I'm guessing just back and forth since it seems you jump by touching the right side of the screen.

Kinda sounds like the controls in Squareball...

Just back and forth. Like in a D-pad platform game you don't use the up and down buttons.

Yeah maybe a little bit. Although unlike Squareball you play my game by holding the iPhone sideways and using your thumbs like on a game controller.

The game's coming along nicely and I think I will be ready to submit in just a couple weeks. :)

Love the name, love the art style, and the control scheme sounds cool, too!

Not sure what you mean, because that sounds exactly like Squareball still ;)

Not that that's a bad thing, although I sucked at Squareball, hopefully this one will be a bit more forgiving of my lack of skillzzz.

Oh... :D To be honest, I've never played Squareball. I was just going on the instructions on the Squareball website.

Hopefully tomorrow I will have a version of Pico Bandito ready for a few people to beta test. Any takers?

As would I! Looks really good and promising! The only other game like this, control wise (and like others have said), is Squareball. But this is more Mario-esque, which I really like ;)

Just let me (and others) know what to do to help test :)

Hey Rblacula, I got your PM... I just haven't got the beta build ready yet. No promises, but I think I should have it ready for you and a few other people to test by tomorrow. :)
