Not sure why. kioshi Well-Known Member Apr 9, 2011 880 0 0 Brazil #5 kioshi, Jan 8, 2013 Me neither. Bought it at launch, loved the visuals, bought the female character immediately, but I simply couldn't enjoy it for more than one hour. Anyway it's a beautiful runner and for free everyone should give it a shot. Exact-Psience Well-Known Member Jan 12, 2012 22,664 2 38 The Work-At-Home Guy Philippines #8 Exact-Psience, Jan 8, 2013 This is still one of my favorite runners, even though there are a lot of titles that surpass it already. Visuals and animation are top notch, and the Multiplayer is some good fun too, but at this point im not sure how many still play online. The coin gain is a bit slow, but you can try it with having coin doubler power up activated each run. I've unlocked everything for the vampire guy as i like the infinite flight (on transform) and his landing animations (while human) look really awesome. Almost have everything for the Wolf too, but didnt push through to 100% completion. What this game needs (in my opinion of course) is a remake of the quest system to make it more "doable." As they are right now, some almost impossible to complete without spending too much time, just to clear 1 quest (in later quests this is common). What makes JJ, Tiny Wings and Punch Quest missions the best of its kind is how accessible they can be, and how we can actually do these missions in a couple runs so we have more to work for. nightc1 Well-Known Member Oct 19, 2012 4,362 0 0 AL #9 nightc1, Jan 8, 2013 I got this last year when it was free. It looks cool but the 178mb download for a runner that looks like an snes game just seemed wrong. Exact-Psience Well-Known Member Jan 12, 2012 22,664 2 38 The Work-At-Home Guy Philippines #10 Exact-Psience, Jan 8, 2013 This game has more details than the SNES comparison. And, the comparison was actually for the SotN, in which case the models in Darkness Rush still has more detail. But for the point about the file size, it is actually 366 mb installed and is the main weakness of this title. bramblett05 Well-Known Member Aug 29, 2012 5,682 0 0 #11 bramblett05, Jan 8, 2013 It doesn't work for touch 4 the screen just goes black after the loading screen Exact-Psience Well-Known Member Jan 12, 2012 22,664 2 38 The Work-At-Home Guy Philippines #12 Exact-Psience, Jan 8, 2013 I played it a lot on my touch4 before, and there was lag during the intro scene on each run (which can be skipped) but plays good on it. nightc1 Well-Known Member Oct 19, 2012 4,362 0 0 AL #13 nightc1, Jan 8, 2013 I couldn't remember the install size, but I remember it being pretty dang huge for a runner. The character models do have some detail, but they are so tiny on my iphone they could be sprites and it wouldn't matter (though I think the game would have been a lot smaller with sprites). As a huge Castlevania fan I wanted to like this, but it just seemed fairly boring the first time around. Maybe I'll give it another try. I grabbed it during one of the free deals last year. smegly Well-Known Member Mar 27, 2012 990 0 0 NY, NY #14 smegly, Jan 8, 2013 I don't think this game could be translated directly onto a PS2, let alone a SNES. I was pretty into it when it came out about a year ago, but it got old after awhile. When I saw it was free again--although it often is--I looked over the price history of the game and it's pretty crazy. They drop the price long enough to get it bumped up the list of paid apps... then back to $3.99 to cash in on anyone willing to pay full price. It's a pretty common practice... and in this place a little less crazy than I've seen from other developers. (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
