So we've discovered a blatant rip of one of our games SLAP! (on Google Play). They haven't just made a clone but they are actually using the original sprites from our existing title. Also they've called it SLAP! HD which is actually the name we would use ourselves.

I'm all for getting the "franchise" in front of a larger audience, also it's kinda cool to have a copycat. But this rogue game is starting to gain some traction.

Anyone dealt with anything like this before? What do you think we should do about it? Should we be asking for royalties?

Update: We crossposted this to Reddit to get some opinions and they're really getting into it... http://redd.it/1jdnzu

We have SLAP! & SLAP! HD on the App Store but this version of SLAP! HD popped up on Google Play.

This is by no means legal advice, but you should probably notify Google.

All clear then, I asked because there was no mention of Google Play in first post :) Just contact Google and shut them down.
