Mono is there for the taking Unity uses C#/Javascript that's compiled to native code. Monotouch does the same, using Mono. Heck, it's even possible to do it just using Mono, but then you have to jump through some hoops.

So it's definitely not the code holding this port.

Fish may be many things, but when he says something, he follows through. Even if it takes forever. And ever. And ever. Everyone said Fez wouldn't launch at all, that it was vaporware. Same that has been said about the iOS version.

I know it's not a "it will be coming to iOS" but with the success of Bastion and the high profit margin for iOS games, when they do sell (and this one sure as hell will) they sell like gangbusters.
