So yeah, we all have different music tastes, but this game is a perfect opportunity to try something new. Post some tracks you found EPIC to play to - and I mean the best of the best. Links to YouTube or some other website to preview would be great too. I'll start off - Showdown, by Pendulum. There is a lull partway through, up until which it doesn't stand out in any way. When the music comes back though, my whole screen lit up and made me giggle and yell out "oh sh*t". This went on 'till the song ended. [Length: ~5:27] (also, I got over one mil score, 100+ combo and brutal boss kill on this track)
I cant pick my own songs to play, when i select the song i get taken to the difficulty and visual intensity screen and then i can move to the perks screen, but then i cant do anything else.
The difficulty and visual intensity screen should say - Manage Perks - START GAME - Back. So you hit start game obviously, not sure what's happening otherwise. Anyway, I recommend trying any dubstep song, especially Skrillex stuff. "Kill Everybody" gets pretty insane once the beat really kicks in.
Any song by Muse and Rise Against probably won't feel out of place in the game. Avoid orchestra music though. I played it with the Legend of Zelda theme song (orchestra version) and it was terrible.
Omen- The Prodigy http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=STnzL9Rsoxw Bass is Kicking- DJ Splash <---gets SO intense later http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pdFqumm9CXM And pretty much any other song by DJ Splash
Survival mode with Juke Box Hero by Foreigner playing was pretty intense. Hm, I wish I could remember that other song I played a couple of times - didn't finish, but it sure was fun.
I played it with Beethovens 3rd and 5 th symphony and it was ok... I don't have any good tecno or other music to play it with. It doesn't really go good with FF soundtracks except Dissidia remix soundtrack.. I think it would be good with chemical brothers or the crystal method..
Edit I'm surprised this thread hasn't gotten more attention, especially considering how popular the game seems to have become. I guess everybody's too busy playing. I got a chance to play Sail by AWOLNATION on it (hardcore), and it was amazing! Quiet music video Hopefully he adds Pandora or something like that because I really have no desire to move my music over from my phone. It seems to be something that's been requested quite a bit in the AppStore reviews. *I might actually buy 99 Red Balloons on iTunes just to test it out.
I hear this a lot too, and I'm wondering why the included Internet Radio Stations don't suffice at least in the short term. There's a ton of them and they usually seem to play music decent for the genre.
I think it is sufficing enough, at least for the time being because most of the reviews are positive. I think people, like myself, are just letting him know that we want it. It's something I talked about with him, and he said he'd add it if enough ppl wanted it--power in numbers. Why I want Pandora (etc.): So I can tailor my radio stations to how I like them. There's only about 4 of them right now that I really like, and I still have to listen to a lot more 'unwanted/undesirable' songs than I'd like to when compared to Pandora. *Only time I see 1 star reviews is when a person can't figure out how to play the game, so all's fairly well in ReviewLand for BHU.
Frankly, I'm impressed that they even put Internet radio stations in it to begin with. And they're pretty good. A lot of other music based games - like WAVE - didn't even bother.
If you are looking for something different then get Mind Heist. Its the music from Inception trailer. Its only 2:14 but man it gets nuts during it. I have only finished it on Insane getting just over 4 million points. and that was with one death I think. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lOJqicM6x84 Also Lost Woods remix is unreal on it http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ubjaEUGmcAM
Don't get me wrong if he can get Pandora in there that would be legitimately awesome. I suppose web stations can have issues like you mentioned. Hopefully he can get that in because that feature would skyrocket the popularity beyond any other music game right now.
