Personally I LOVE IT! Its runs smooth and flawless! and added bonus for being 3D is the start of the round 3D intro. Just love it. Its slightly ugly but I hope if the dev for this game read this forum they would work on improving the models.
All they have to do is to photo-texture the model from camera projection. It will get 1:1 to the original UMK3.
They probably also have to put in some shading and shadow on the character texture too. It looks kinda bland without the shadows and shading on the textures.
Sounds like you've never played a Mortal Kombat game before. It's not about the graphics; it's about how the graphics do utter "non-justice" to the theme of what is Mortal Kombat. The characters do not LOOK like they are supposed to, according to how they have been portrayed in past MK games at all.

Game itself is awesome, i spend lot of time with it.
Only sad thing, is that to keep the game 12+(lol) in the appstore, the game has censored head rip(fav fatality for me) so it really makes me feel bad, as i whore with subzero (freeze+crouching punch and repeat ) and i cannot see the only fatality for him.

^ I wish I could agree with you.

This game has so, so much wasted potential... it's not even funny. If they added even 5% of the gameplay elements found in MK9, this game would be somewhat worthy of carrying the Mortal Kombat name.

The game is OK for a while but after I finished 75% of it I just got bored and never played it again. I'll probably end up erasing it.

Sorry to revive a dead thread but I got this game a few weeks ago and love it. Ive been on a real K kick and now I am wondering what the chances are for more MK ports.

They'll probably bring something else. This game was pretty successful and Mortal Kombat IS one of the worlds most beloved fighters. Who knows when or which one. But I'm sure you'll see more in the future.

Honestly, the game itself is good though there are a few areas where it falls short, namely some of the character models, like unmasked sub-zero and kano look out of proportion and the fatalities are lame. Even as goofy as they were in the original game they still looked better, especially the animalities.

I would like for them to bring a port of MK9 to iOS devices. PS Vita has its own version so I don't see why they couldn't use that as a base for a touchscreen port.

My biggest problem is that sometimes the ai moves way too fast and auto blocks every move you do much worse than in any other port of the game.
