King's League: Odyssey (Gamenauts/Kurechii) - releasing on Nov 14

Discussion in 'Upcoming iOS Games' started by Gamenauts, Oct 30, 2013.

  1. @kenken11 - The game is really designed for a single player experience, so there's no PvP in. We might be looking into that for future versions (or the sequel) , but honestly it would be an ambitious undertaking for a very small indie team. :)

A few quick questions. What is the installed file size, is it universal, and what are the compatible devices? Is there an overall time limit on how long you have to complete the whole main story or can you play endlessly?

The beta of King's League: Odyssey was (still is) a lot of fun.

  5. @ojtitus - The game is universal and is supported on the following devices:

    iPhone 4 + higher
    iPad 2 + higher
iPod Touch 4th gen + higher.

As for the size, it's about 170MB, which might be surprising since it's a port of a Flash game, but we put in as much high quality art assets as much as possible to make it a premium experience.

There's no overall time limit, although the time to win the main game will be a factor in the ranking that you get at the end to submit to Gamecenter. After you defeat the final boss, you can continue playing in Endless Mode.

Hi, does endless mode means the dungeon? Can u kindly breakdown in more details regarding the differences between the flash version and this premium version?

This game is awesome it have more graphics than the flash and the dungeons I thinks is not endless but you will have reward when defending your cities and there are more dungeons on hard mode! (Beta Tester)

  9. @kenken11 Sure thing! Firstly, the mobile version contains *all* of the premium add-on content in the Flash version such as:

    -----------------------------------------
    1. Battlethon
    - this is an event where you can keep battling increasingly harder foes (sort of like a gladiatorial event)

    2. 3 Legendary Units like the Battle Mage and the Phantom.

    3. Endless Mode
    - when you "beat" the game, you can keep playing in order to improve your Battlethon scores or to try to collect more characters. It's actually difficult to collect the rare characters because those appear within specific circumstances.
    - Your official scores will be the one where you get when you beat the game. So anything you gained in the Endless Mode will just be extra fun incentives.

    4. Insane Mode
    -----------------------------------------

Here are the brand new features/content in the mobile version not found in the Flash version:

    1. Dungeons with bosses, including those only unlocked via Insane Mode.
    2. 7 brand new & unique characters to recruit.
    3. Upscaled all art & UI to HD.
    4. New enemies units.
    5. Revamped Black Market.
    6. New Events & Quests.
    7. Personalize your army's banner and name.
    8. Extended ending with new final (secret) boss.
    9. Intro animated video (the Flash version only has slideshows)

We'd like to point out that the cost to purchase the premium content for the Flash version on Kongregate is $5.00.

With that in mind, we think the the $1.99 launch price for the mobile version is quite a bargain, given that we included the premium content + the other new stuff. :D

My installed size is quite a bit larger than you indicated, coming in at around 560 mb. I think you listed the download size.
