Thanks. I've heard it doesn't have much replay value, but others ,such as yourself, play it over and over again. So it must have some charm.
Yeah, it's not like the game changes in every replay (well, except when you change difficulty), but it's like rewatching a favorite movie every once in a while.
what concerns me is that the game itself for the PC is around 700 mb, with 1080p textures and all, i just hope this port doesn't end up sizing over 1.5 gb ._. yknow?
To the best of my knowledge, gta3 mobile is the same size installed as the pc version was so hopefully the same thing will apply to this port.
VERY NICE EITHER WAY! I loved that game and I love gaming nostalgia ....especially when it comes to RockStar....
As long as this is complete and not parceled out in overpriced bits or modes, I can't possibly buy this fast enough!
I hope that my 4s will be fast enough to run this masterpiece! 3GS will run this game very slowly IMHO!
In terms of textures, view distance, polygon counts, and number of enemies on screen, the PC version is really no better than the average Gameloft game -- in fact, something like Dead Space looks a lot better. I see no reason why a 4S wouldn't run this at 60 FPS. The two areas where the original game would push the mobile envelope is in object physics (you could interact with many -- though by no means all -- objects on screen) and character ragdoll effects. We'll see how Rockstar translates these features to iOS. All in all, what made the original game special was the gameplay, atmosphere, and storytelling -- not the graphics.
Imagine playing MP on the new iPad with the Fling controller. Now i dont really see a reason why anyone should buy a Vita with those game prices.
I think you may be confused, the last game was Max Payne 2 which was critically acclaimed (at 86% on metacritic currently.) It really is still to this day the best noir game on the market. You are probably thinking about the upcoming Max Payne 3 which is being handled by a different studio. The first screens they showed way back when of that looked like a different game (day light, south american town ect) so the fans raged for a week or two. Now that more game has been shown most people who've played it are saying it's surprisingly good. Only time will tell!
The first Max Payne is superior in therms of graphics, gameloft games have a bad graphic except prince of Persia!
Please. 9mm has better textures and way more polygons. Max Payne is a much better game, but not because it has better graphics.
For it's time it looked good. But the reason it still holds up IMHO is because of the way it integrates gameplay and story. Other games of the period have not aged nearly as well.
