Must have ios RPG; an essential part of ios gaming history. I'm on my phone, so no linky...and before someone gives me ****, it can be a royal pain googling, copying the link, inserting the HTML, etc. on a 3.5 inch screen made even smaller by an Otterbox case. Btw, the title should say Vay.

It hasn't been on sale since its release in 2008, AFAIK. But it still shows as $5 on the PH appstore. sladeums Well-Known Member Feb 2, 2012 607 0 0 Omaha, NE #7 sladeums, Sep 20, 2012 Price drop is dated for the 20th, so it'll probably be good in a couple more hours. xraydash Well-Known Member Jan 15, 2012 58 0 0 #8 xraydash, Sep 20, 2012 This is the same company that's porting Lunar, so the sale is probably a tie in to that release. Both were Sega CD games too. syntheticvoid Well-Known Member Jun 20, 2010 14,504 124 63 Musician & factory worker. a[V-O-I-D] http://apparentsymmetry.bandcamp.com #9 syntheticvoid, Sep 20, 2012 Beautiful RPG! Should be worth every second of waiting from the looks of it. Since it came out back in 2008, it's never seen a single price drop. That's the deal right there. undeadcow Well-Known Member Dec 4, 2010 9,493 2 36 Houston, TX #12 undeadcow, Sep 20, 2012 Looking forward to the drop, I've often paused looking at this title but never dived in before now. Vay is a highly enjoyable game in all aspects, but the controls just kill it for me. A virtual pad would have been way nicer. Without it, it's nowhere nearly as smooth as FF III. nfong Well-Known Member Aug 30, 2011 1,186 1 38 #14 nfong, Sep 20, 2012 Lol, dat requirement of iOS 2.0. xP Nobunaga Well-Known Member Jun 2, 2012 1,094 0 0 #15 Nobunaga, Sep 20, 2012 Haven't tied vay on iPhone. The sega cd version was pretty good. Free now in north america. Exact-Psience Well-Known Member Jan 12, 2012 22,664 2 38 The Work-At-Home Guy Philippines #16 Exact-Psience, Sep 20, 2012 I judt got it free from the PH appstore as well. Looks like it's free all throughout now. smegly Well-Known Member Mar 27, 2012 990 0 0 NY, NY #17 smegly, Sep 20, 2012 Pretty cool game. I think it's interesting the direction they took with changing the characters' battle sprites. It's weird that there are not two but THREE different art styles. Usually, it's basically just a slightly bigger version of the map sprites in battle and then the cut-scene style. Now it's like the battle characters are based on a different cartoon. I'm not sure why they didn't make the battle sprites look more like the characters do in the movies, considering the new sprites have the resolution for that to be possible, but I don't exactly dislike it either as it's pretty funny. The controls aren't great, but they're serviceable. I do rather like how the menu system is just an iOS menu rather than an adaptation of what was originally in the game.
