Man you guys are harsh! Yeah one thing to consider is that we want something that represents the game play, which is both naval battles but also pirate theme. As background if you haven't played here is a shot from the game:



That is why ships, blue, anchors make sense. We are trying to make something that makes users want to click on icon to purchase.

I like #5--anchor with blue wave. I see that most people are voting for ship silhouette (which is also nice) but I think that once it is reduced to the size of an actual icon it will be hard to tell what it is. Too complicated for the small size of the icon.

same here, out of these choices #5 is the best for an icon. #3 is better in concept, but as was said it'll lose too much detail when icon sized.

currently switching back & forth between: Infinity Blade, Kosmo Spin, Wispin, Sentinel 3, Pix'n Love Rush, Word Warrior, WordFu, Solipskier, Fruit Ninja, and some others..

I have to reiterate that using the Anchor option is quite played out. It won't grab me if I shift my brain to the base sense of "ooh look pretty icon dododooo..." Numero 3 is almost there as it's very pleasant to look at but something is missing. Please create more options, color schemes, and graphical additions to #3 and we can go from there.

why not use this skull artwork from the main menu without the text on the original icon and keep the hat

And I definitely do not like the anchor icon. There is no way I would click on that if i saw it on the app store. My favorite is probably the ship silouette...except something about it makes me feel like such an icon wouldn't represent a game maybe a more closeup ship (not silhouetted) that's either in combat, or has a pirate flag (with silver skull logo crossbones?) or something...

The silhouette should be darker, and the background should be gloomier, thus giving it a more pirate-ey feel.

number 3 is best, I'd rather see a silver skull, sideways instead of front, with the graphics of nr 3 reflecting on the skull (sunset/ship)
