The track editor sounds like the best new feature. I assume you will be able to upload them and download other people's tracks? New cars sound awesome too! Can't wait.
Wake me up when someone has some real news. Trueaxis has already mentioned the sequel multiple times in TA forums only, and the level editor too. And the fact its 6+ months off, I dont even think a thread was necessary right now. But anyways, love the game. Definitely getting the DLC packs and the sequel (whenever it arrives).
Dammit indeed. The sequel to the best driving game on the platform, undoubtedly. Man, I can't wait to play with that level editor!
Dammit. We should have started this thread our selves so we could update the first post with new info and stuff. The sequel is still a while off, but the DLC for the original should be submitted any day now. A trailer will be comming soon too. After that we will have to start thinking about releasing some pics of the JCS2 progress. Actually, there was some news, I think it may have been the first official anouncement of the level editor for JCS2. It was something we considered for a long time, and talked about many times before we actually decided to commit to it.
You can ask the mods to lock this old thread anytime and create a new 'official' thread whenever you feel you are ready to show off how effing awesome JCS2 is going to be
I hope you guys add real shadows from shaders and bump textures and a reflective car and anti-aliasing in JCS 2 for 3rd generation devices. That would be so cool. Best looking game in the App Store. Also maybe you could add smoke effects from the rocket and other effects when you drift and even better physics. If you add the right things, the sequel could be a truly amazing game.
Some art has been done - lots of new cars. Luke has played around with some shaders with some nice lighting effects. And that's about all at the moment... With doing the Windows Mobile 7 version has delayed a hell of a lot of work. We are now back on track, as we submitted the WM7 version... So Luke is free to work on this now while I'm free to finish Space Tripper off.
I'm aiming for Xmas now or around that date... There is still a load of work to do, though The last couple of days I've turned the project into a universal one and it now works on the iPad. I'm going to have to do a new control method for the iPad as it's a bit bulky moving the ship around with the accelerometer. But it looks very pretty indeed on the larger screen.
Glad to know that aiming in xmas We'd rather have it nicely done than a rushed version Also this is october, next year ain't too far
