i'm using an account with a credit card, and i'm not really sure how to use a gift card i got. just so i don't mess anything up, how do i use it? do i redeem it and then the next couple of purchases will use the gift card?
In the upper right corner of iTunes, where it has your account name (probably email address) is a down arrow. Click on that. The second option on that menu says "Redeem." Click that. When you do that, it will bring up a Redeem Code box. Scratch off the strip on the back of your gift card and enter the number on the card into that Redeem box. Then just click on the Redeem button to the right. You'll then have the amount of your gift card put into your iTunes account.
Just to add to this the future purchases will be charged on the giftcard until it reaches zero then it will use your credit card again
and my next purchases won't be charged to my credit card will it? EDIT: thanks DJ, EMT! just wanted to make sure
