Any video of this? Only screen shots on the website. Video seems mandatory for an app like this, especially without a lite version. Also people (I speak for myself here) will be thinking 'can this equal or top Koi Pond in terms of polish?' and without a video I wouldn't be prepared to take the risk.
I think this developer should have chosen a different name for their app. Koi Pond 3d is not developed by Blimp Pilots, as Koi Pond is. From the screenshots it doesn't look as polished. I think some people might get drawn to buy Koi Pond 3d, because they've bought Koi Pond and is happy with it.
Yes I agree, I think they would be doing themselves a disservice if people thought they were buying into a Blimp Pilots app. I hope that for their sake it was not a ploy (I'm sure it wasn't) to jump on the success band wagon of Koi Pond. It might leave people with a bad taste in their mouths once they realize. Promo codes are all well and good (for US citizens!) but video is what will get this app more buyers. At the moment it feels like their hiding something...
The interface is exactly the same as Great White which is made by Monkeytrax, who made this one too. This looks much too similar to get for me.
Same engine as great white, but doesn't mean it's a bad app, as I'll review the two independently! sorry its taking me a while, but I'm busy and sleepy-not a good combo
Okay here's my review At first sight, Koi Pond seem's very much similar to Great White-the interface and game engine are presumably identical. However, that does not mean it's a bad entertainment app by itself. Sure, the textures and eyeballs of the fish are a little cheesy, but it's animated well and fun to watch. If you liked koi pond by Blimp Pilots, there should be no reason you wouldn't enjoy this app as well. Again, the best apps are all about interactivity, and I think users would love if they could actually physically feed the fish, rather than make a trail of flakes and watch the fish be attracted to it. Yet, this will all be improved in the next update, so I'm told. Bottom line: Is it Good? Yes Is it a Game? No If you like entertainment apps, you'll like this.
