Unless someone already pruned the bejesus out of the voting (which, based on a mod statement just a week ago they can't do), I couldn't find one newly created account for the only other game doing well, in fact, most accounts were from 2010 or 2011. Just because people don't post much doesn't make them ballot stuffers.

Completed the eight tutorial missions in Ancient Battle: Rome. This seems easier to play than Civil War 1863, but not as much fun as Tank Battle North Africa.

Th terrain seems harder to make out than in Tank Battle North Africa, but I like that flanking is implemented. Not too sure about the difference between the different infantry types or cavalry types, despite having played through the tutorial, or what Julius Caesar actually does. I think I will have to read the manual for that...

The generals are cool. They have a good movement range and give a +1 bonus to all adjacent units. You can merge them with another unit to give that unit a +2, then demerge them later and join them with a different unit. This is handy for moving them around the battlefield and giving boosts where it is needed most.

I generally merge them in with the strongest units right at the front and after a few rounds and that unit is weak, merger them with the 10 strength unit behind then get the damaged one out of the way.

Updated...

Will same device multiplayer be added?

Can anyone recommend any simple primer on the wars that are supposed to be fought in Ancient Battles: Rome? My knowledge of that period is limited to Asterix...
