Using revolutionary physics-based animation from our custom simulation engine, Shark Eaters is unlike any fighting experience you’ve ever had. Torpedo through the water, hunting down the mighty Kthulu. Crunch into a savory fish. Whip your tail to release a bolt of electrical energy, stunning your unfortunate prey. Your heart will beat faster as you lunge and swerve for your life. Chase and be chased by devious sharks and fish too smart for their species. Play with creatures whose motion is so incredibly lifelike, National Geographic wrote two stories on it. - Pure physics fun: Every creature and every movement is physics-based and procedurally generated in real time. - Unique interactive experience: Our proprietary game engine is custom designed from the ground up to create brand new gaming experiences, always at 60 fps. Nothing else compares. - Advanced artificial intelligence: Each shark and fish has unique locomotion and intelligence. Some lurk carefully, waiting for the opportune moment. Others are aggressive, betting you are not quick enough with your reflexes to turn predator into prey. Others avoid conflict and try to outsmart you. - 9 unique sharks, each with their own movement and personality: Bull, Lemon, Blue, Tiger, Blacktip, Dogfish, Hammerhead, Mako, and Great White shark (Kthulu). - 10 unique fish, far more intelligent than normal: Mackerel, Cod, Salmon, Herring, Mullet, King Mackerel, Rainbow Runner, Mahi Mahi, Red Snapper, and Redfish. - Play as Bandit the Bottlenose Dolphin, Simon the Commerson’s Dolphin, or Zoey the Orca. Each one is special and unique. - Plays perfectly on iPhone4s or above, iPod5 or above, and iPad2 or above. - Only on the App store! This is the only game were you can actually fight and swim like a sea creature. It's not like some crappy 2d shark game. It's a truly unique experience. It may take a bit to get used to the controls, not movement but attacking accurately. rIcHrAnDoM Well-Known Member Patreon Silver Nov 17, 2008 7,936 30 38 Steelworker/Welder Indiana, USA #3 rIcHrAnDoM, Oct 8, 2014 Are there goals, leaderboards, achievements etc.? rIcHrAnDoM Well-Known Member Patreon Silver Nov 17, 2008 7,936 30 38 Steelworker/Welder Indiana, USA #4 rIcHrAnDoM, Oct 8, 2014 Are there goals, leaderboards, achievements etc.? Your goal is to beat each level. Each level you have fish opponents. It starts out as one on one with different types of fish and then you start fighting small groups of them. It's very challenging. Once you eat your opponents you beat the level. rIcHrAnDoM Well-Known Member Patreon Silver Nov 17, 2008 7,936 30 38 Steelworker/Welder Indiana, USA #6 rIcHrAnDoM, Oct 8, 2014 Oh ok. Good video of game worth a look! Edit: nice I like the movement of the dolphin. The only problem is that sometimes the boost is fiddly. It would be nice if the direction swipe moved the dolphin too. Good stuff though. Gets frustrating losing pearls when you can't attack accurately. I built the Kata Engine we used to create the game, as well as doing all of the graphics programming work. I'll be sharing some footage and behind the scenes stuff here today over the next couple of days, but I wanted to introduce myself first. If you have any questions about the underlying technology used to build the game, please feel free to ask. P.S. There are myriad goals that will be uncovered as you progress. Achievements (Cards of the week) will be added in an update where a single battle (Take the Great White Shark) will be displayed. We spent a huge amount of time, thousands of hours in fact, studying the dolphins at the National Aquarium in Baltimore. Their CEO, John Racanelli, and the trainers were gracious enough to give us deep behind the scenes access to the animals and trainers. Many of the sounds and motions were derived from these sessions. In fact a significant portion of the proceeds from the game will be donated back to the Aquarium to help fund their project to create an ocean sanctuary so that the dolphins can be moved out of captivity in the coming years. Animal health and conservation is something we all deeply believe in. Here's a short video of a training session we recorded last year. It's one of our early tests with binaural (3D) recorded audio, using the 3dio Free Space microphone. It's a really cool gadget!
