I won't be able for a few weeks/months more, because this update requires ios 9! (I'll never update too fast again) While i mastered (and loved) the old controls, the sentence in your description made me very, very curious: "Updated gameplay mechanics, requires more skill to play" iandunlop_oeFun Well-Known Member Jun 17, 2012 140 0 0 President of oeFun, Inc. In addition there is 'shot speed power up' that you can gain that gives you a much faster firing rate for a bit. LordShad0wz Well-Known Member Nov 19, 2014 4,286 1 38 #4 LordShad0wz, Sep 23, 2015 It still says just triblaster. Also have you added better or atleast different on screen controls? When I had it on my android device I have a hard time with it. Billy escapedturkey Well-Known Member Jun 24, 2011 56 0 0 #5 escapedturkey, Sep 23, 2015 Last edited: Sep 23, 2015 Requires iOS 9. My iPhone 6 runs 9. I had to revert back to 8.4 on my iPad 4, due to performance issues. It could be I wasn't giving it enough time to index properly. I didn't want to miss the chance to rollback to 8.4 while it was still being signed. Why does this game require 9? By the way - Can we make some feature requests or is this the final version? This game has never made any profit; it's a niche game and was made because I wanted to make it. Additionally as an indie developer I don't have a lot of resources (money) to throw at this so I make certain choices to alleviate that burden; hence iOS 9 only. This is not the final version, so yes, I'd like to hear what features you'd like to see. iandunlop_oeFun Well-Known Member Jun 17, 2012 140 0 0 President of oeFun, Inc. I had setup a new leaderboard so as to not mix the original TriBlaster scores with TriBlaster3. However, that doesn't seem to have been published (gone live); I can only see the original leaderboard... I'm investigating this and will post here when I know more. Thanks. escapedturkey Well-Known Member Jun 24, 2011 56 0 0 #10 escapedturkey, Sep 23, 2015 I guess I'll upgrade to iOS 9 when I read about more iPad 4's performing well or I'll wait until 9.1. Just two feature requests: MFi game controller support iCloud Saves I love the game! You totally brought back my Tempest arcade childhood memores to life. Thanks you! Before the update I reached level 10 without losing a life. After the update, moving seems sticky somehow. I lost two lives on level two, and spent a lot of time stuck on the sides. I'm playing on an iPad Air running iOS 9. escapedturkey Well-Known Member Jun 24, 2011 56 0 0 #12 escapedturkey, Sep 23, 2015 The best balance between save game and progress I've seen is in the game Mutant Storm. You must complete 10 levels and it saves a checkpoint. It keeps the game challenging but not frustrating. Every 10th level becomes a goal. https://appsto.re/us/eTTXE.i iandunlop_oeFun Well-Known Member Jun 17, 2012 140 0 0 President of oeFun, Inc. Austin, TX http://oefun.com #15 iandunlop_oeFun, Sep 23, 2015 The original TriBlaster worked like that but it was every 25 levels. Admittedly that was too many levels. However, I prefer the idea where you can start where you left off. All levels are initially locked - i.e. you start at level 1. A bad player may unlock levels beyond their skill level, but they end up with one life left; thus they end up having to replay earlier levels to keep the life count high. In other words it's up to the individual player on how they spend their time; i.e. a bit of grinding to keep those lives or forging ahead to see what is next. escapedturkey Well-Known Member Jun 24, 2011 56 0 0 #16 escapedturkey, Sep 23, 2015 OKay. I think I figured out what might be an annoyance and I have a solution. Before 3 it felt like my avatar would move faster across the grid. Now I have to focus and swipe fast to get it to move faster. It feels less consistent and requires that I restort to jumping all the time Suggestion: An option to make it so you can have the avatar 'accelerate' upon faster swiping or to let it move at a fixed (defineable) speed. Or ... a mixture of both options. Simply give the player an option to adjust the acceleration sensitivity. I know your resources are limited but it's just something to consider. P.S. I should be working. Not playing this addicting game! iandunlop_oeFun Well-Known Member Jun 17, 2012 140 0 0 President of oeFun, Inc. If not during gameplay, prominently displayed before or after a game? My personal motto has always been, load GC to see global rankings, but my top score should be immediately visible in game without the need to goto a secondary app like GC. iandunlop_oeFun Well-Known Member Jun 17, 2012 140 0 0 President of oeFun, Inc.
