Hey all, We were recently working on a project to see what the iPhone could handle. We decided to try a Portal clone, and the results ended up being much cooler than we thought they would. Let us know what you think.
This would seem very nice on the iDevices ... Please ask the developers of Portal to develop this game
Hmmm.....impressive. If real you should contact the developers of Portal and see if you can make it a Portal port instead of clone....and release it.

You guys need to contact Valve and see what it would take to release this. Portal is the best game Valve has made (other than Team Fortress 2).
It's very hard for me to believe this is real. I played Portal on my laptop and I had to set all the graphical settings down to the lowest level possible, and even then the FPS were very sh,bad. To run on the iPhone with such clear visuals and amazing FPS just, unbelievable.
Your laptop must be ancient =P My computer is nothing special, and it can run portal, max settings/resolution, max everything. It really isn't a resource hog, there's just walls, a bit of physics, and portal effects.
Sounds like you just have a poor laptop, the iPhone could easily run a version of Portal with toned-down graphics and physics.
very impressive. to be honest I expect quite a few iPhone games to look this nice functionally within a year since the platform is still so young.
