Will my iPod 2g run iOS4?

I think it will work on 2G iPod Touchs, but I don't think it will be able to multitask.

Same here. Based on what Apple has done in the past with iPhone/iPod Touch upgrades, I think that the newest iPod Touch will have a Retina display and an A4 chip in it, like the iPhone 4 has.

 

hopefully the next ipod touch will have a camera in it aswell, that would be great and it would make me wanna upgrade my device

 

Apparently it won't run multitask and other features, but I heard that there's gonna be a hack for that if you're jailbroken
