Does this have retina display? If not, how does it look on the new ipad?

It does not, but it looks OK. Retina support would make this game

It is not the display which makes the game so interesting.

The game is retina ready, even though my eyes prob arn't. You can compare the screenshots we taken from iPad 1 and the new iPad at http://www.autumndynasty.com/media/

I can't tell much of a diff unless I compare the two iPad side by side :)

Price increase today to $6.99. Are there plans for a trial version?

How many people submitted correct answers? I believe that was the last question :)

I wanted to buy this at the 4.99 price point, with the possibility of it going universal eventually, it would be worth it. (i dont have an iPad)

but i ask and ask and ask, and get zero response:

ARE THERE ANY PLANS FOR IT GOING UNIVERSAL??

now i have to pay more, because i couldnt get a dev to respond to a very simple question :/

This answer I found on facebook:

Rion Goh: hmm i doubt autumn rts game mechanic will work well on any smaller screen size, ur gonna lose to ipad players. how bout a general vs general kind of game, smaller maps with item collection perhaps?

Honestly, the Retina support is pretty weak considering the zooming, pixelated cutscenes, etc. It's certainly not offensive to the eyes but come on, there's a lot to be done before you can classify this as Retina. Maybe that's what Retina-ready means, who knows. I will say that it's nowhere near as egregious of a claim as Neuroshima Hex.

I'm not sure how online matches are hosted but I'm leaning towards player based.

I've played alot of online matches, actually, it's the only mode I play on Autumn Dynasty and I've met a few games with latency issues. I usually just play it through and the next game will be fine.

One thing to note though, please remember to mute your voice chat.

I've heard countless conversations but I always mute them within the first seconds. I'm not a eavedropper. :D

I also mute the voice chat. It would be nice to have a text chat. I don't like voice chats at all. My wife hates if I play too much of this games, if I would start to talk to strange people she would not appreciate it I think. :)

I often hear babies cry. :)
And yes, I now think too, that the lag is player based.

    Enhance Skirmish mode

It would be nice to have some more features for skirmish mode:

Now you play on different maps against AI.

It would be nice, to exercise different tactics, that you can set up some training situations:

Chose the map without spots for building
Chose number and type of your units
All abilities available without waiting time
Chose the number of enemy units
    Chose type of enemy units

    How does avalanches work?

Sometimes I think I'm not shure how it exactly works:

Do the swordsmen have to be close to the mountains?
Has the avalanche to be close to the mountains?
    How close?

When you use avalanche, drag your finger on the screen to where you want to cast. The cursor would glow if you are close enough to mountain to use it.

Yup we want to add more scenarios to the skirmish mode, the next patch is coming with a free mission where both players start with a large army.

Cool idea of starting out with both players with large armies (so I can work on my battle tactics).
Will there ever be the possibility of adding skirmish/multiplayer with up to 4 players?

sometimes it takes very long until game center finds a player to play with.

    1. I would like to e able to turn off the sound

    2. If there is someone asking for a game I would like to hear a beep or some alarm. I don't like to stare at the screen for hours without being able to do something different.

You can turn the sound or music off under the options menu.
There isn't a button for the options in the main menu though.

Isn't it supposed to allow you to play something else while waiting for an opponent?

I guess it is not very obvious, but you can continue to play skirmish or campaign missions while you are waiting for opponents.

I am still trying to find a way to let players multitask while waiting for opponent, I suspect that is not possible with gamecenter matching.
