Leisure Suit Larry is my favorite game ever. Seriously. Started my adventure gaming path with LSL 1, and the last LSL game to me is LSL7. Al Lowe is the best person on earth.
Heh me too, I had lsl1 on our pcxt with monochrome screen when I was about 10, it was my first Sierra graphic adventure and I loved it. Yep al Lowe is a pretty cool guy
I played what I think was the first two LSL games when I was pretty young. I think my parents bought them for my brother, which seems odd now. I seem to remember having to ask them trivia questions to start. This was back in the day when people would stick their computers in the far corners of the basement and parents didn't really have any reason to think badly of games yet. Personally I look more forward to re-releases of the earlier games, or I wish they would have done this new one in a retro style like Fester Mudd, but that's probably just me. I'll still be checking this one out.
Somewhere I think I heard this was being delayed again. I'd also like to know its ETA, so if someone knows, please post it.
Holy crap, the PC version's out? *crosses fingers for App Store release* EDIT: Looks like we're looking at an early July release. Perhaps the 3rd? Interesting thing though...the PC version sells for $20, but apparently the iOS version will only be $5.
It's been submitted for a while now and by the looks of things on Replay Games' Twitter account, once it's approved, it's out. No set dates or anything. I gotta say though...I'm not too thrilled with how all the Kickstarter things turned out. I mean, I'm grateful to all the people who donated to make this a reality, and I'll certainly be buying the game once it's out on iOS, but isn't this too much? Wasn't there a more subtle way to include the backers rather than have them basically standing there, screaming "LOOK AT ME!"? Yes, these are people who paid $5000 to help fund this project, but as someone who grew up playing the original and wants to walk that walk down memory lane again...can't I just play LSL instead of "Kickstarter Project featuring Larry Laffer"?
