Looks wicked, but is that the only place where he fights at? Kinda like Leaping Legend that he has 2 platforms he can move to and from, and the action happens while the elevators go up?

    I'm guessing D-Pad Studios.

Yeah, been keeping an eye on it. Nothing yet, NZ or elsewhere. :(

Well, I managed to contact them on Twitter and they said there was no specific time it'd go up, but they're late because they announced they're going to be at PAX this year. I honestly don't know how that changes just flicking a switch on the App Store, but sure...:p

    Savant Ascent Update:

I'm crossing my fingers that this is in regard to the PC version, because if not and the iOS version hasn't been submitted yet, we're in for quite a wait.

    EDIT: From their Facebook:

Yeah, I think it's safe to say this isn't coming out today. :p

Unfortunately, playing the game just made me lament once again that we don't have Castlevania: SotN on iOS. >_<

The feeling's mutual. Has Konami done anything recently on iOS?

Nothing of note. We do have the rather unsatisfying Castlevania puzzle game (which I could almost forgive if it included the full soundtrack rather than the severely truncated pieces it uses), but I'd be willing to bet people would fork out quite a bit for an iOS version of the PSP collection that included both Castlevania: Symphony of the Night and Rondo of Blood.

Dracula X Chronicles, I believe. Yeah, that's quite possibly the only reason I still have a PSP.

If this is what I presume to be the last boss of Savant. OH.MY.GOD! At first I thought it was hilarious, but now? I'm getting my ass handed to me. The game's longer than I thought, seems to have an ending and is insanely difficult. It pretty much functions like Kid Tripp in that there's progression, but ultimately it's a high score chasing game and to make sure you're the best in the world, you...just...don't die. This is even better than I thought!

EDIT: Just finished the game off with a score of...0. :p My highscore from earlier on though is somewhere in the 6 million range. 4 "stages", 2 of which are basically fending off hundreds of enemies...the second ending with a boss fight of sorts. The other 2 are boss fights. Easy stage requires you to handle different enemies with different strategies. There's a fantastic simple upgrade system that also unlocks different music for the game and...man, I can't wait for this to hit iOS. It's a short game, with infinite replayability (thanks to the scoring) and is just unforgettable from start to end. Can't recommend it enough! :)
