Glad to help

They're actually making a big deal of promoting it in Japan, in combination with the Horipad. I have to admit, the two are a nice combination

Another huge review from Afterpad

http://afterpad.com/post/10886392759...one-controller

@kmacleod:I'm a bit confused though, you are writing multiple times about a Tony Hawk game or even Smash Bros. (which is big N exclusive). But i can't find a TH game in my store...

And what about the lag on iOS8 now?Did they solve the problem?

Nonetheless,nice review thanks.

Anway,i'm quite happy with the Micro Madcatz now,my controller search has hopefully ended for a while

Thanks for posting the review. After hearing about the trigger issues, I'm glad I went with the C.T.R.L.i for my iPad instead. I had even went to an Apple Store the day I ordered it with the intention of getting a Pencil stylus and the Stratus XL, but they only had the stylus. I guess I lucked out there. I mostly use the C.T.R.L.i to play GTA: SA and Bioshock at the moment, so having overly sensitive triggers would have been a major issue.

Lag issues are resolved with the latest Stratus firmwares on iOS 8.1.1 and above

Yeah, I test those games using RetroArch for emulation. Very few iOS games actually push controllers to their limits, so if I want to really stress-test them, I need to turn to PlayStation and N64 emulation.

It's important to keep that in mind: almost any MFi controller will work fine with most iOS games. It's only the most demanding situations where the weaknesses of each controller reveal themselves!

Installed 8.1.3 on iPad Mini 2, so far so good with Super CF, Final Freeway 2R and Asphalt 8 with Stratus, so far so good. No time to hit the biggies like MH

Can you use Controllers For All to make the iCade controller act as an MFi controller? Many are compatible, it might work
