I'm on iOS 7 and on my iPad 4 AND, to a lesser extent, my iPhone 5 are very choppy. It's unplayable on my iPad because of how jerky it is. There's no excuse for it not running perfectly on the iPad 4, none.

Anyone else? I'm going to shoot an email to the devs

So, talking with the developer regarding the stuttering on many of the devices, they were trying to get it figured out and hoped to have a response soon.

Got an email the other day, they fixed the stuttering... however, they fixed it by making the game NON-Retina. They've said that people couldn't tell retina from non-retina, and while I'll admit it's not like watching a CRT TV and then watching a 4K tv, but we ALL know there's still a significant difference.

I'm really disappointed, as the game is stunning, but after this update... Maybe I'll leave it to my kids, they do seem to enjoy it. This is really disappointing.

The main difference between retina and non-retina for this game is character outer edges, since that is the only thing that's geometry based and thus linked to screen resolution. Everything else uses exactly the same resolution for both retina and non-retina (512x textures remain 512x). Basically the same look, but rendered a lot faster. Hope this helps.
