I really like the idea of this game - it's like Scrabble meets Othello - but I'm still not fully getting the rules.

The stealing rules and locking rules are straight forward if all the turns are alternately crossing but sometimes after a couple of turns of building words parallel to eat other, sometimes I'm not sure why a word isn't considered a lock or a steal. Can you not lock words that were created using a steal?

Negitoro, only single letters can be stolen or locked. By single word I mean a letter that is only part of one word - horizonal or vertical. Once a letter becomes part of two words (even two letters word) - horizonal and vertical it can't be stolen or locked any more.
