    Relevance of the dates

Could the dates be of some relevance, The first thing that I noticed that they are all over 11 years ago. This could just be to indicate that a period of time has passed. However, the notes inside level 6 are out of date sequence:
    Level 5 2006/09/10,
    Level 6 2006/09/02,
    Level 7 2006/09/15.

It could be an error , but the rest of the game seems so polished so I doubt it.

Impressive what you discovered there !
Seems that the "hint" is making some kind of code... let's try tonsee if it's not just a glitch :)

    This is just awesome !
I tried with level 3 and it's another hint that appears !

I need to try them all now :)

    EDIT :
Ok, I tried them all and seems to be only an ingame glitch :)
The video moves exactly like the hint of the level 6, in a glitched level version.

Btw, it makes me found another "thing" that feels strange...
If you keep focusing on the hints of the level 0, it appears that some objects appears broken on it, and some other not. The hint works like a lense, if you rotate and then use it you will see differences between the real world and the hint world...

I'm now wondering if there is some "differences" in the other levels as well... Some of them we probably missed by focusing on the solution logic, like some rocks that are not in the same place or something ?

    Faraway coordinates

Okay so I think I figured out the coordinates..

I started by plotting 18's coord on google maps. (-53.7788772, -107.5341683)

Next I added 18 and 17 coords together to form a new coord.
    Ex:
    18.) -53.778872, -107.5341683
    +
    17.) -0.0036659, -0.0075531
    -------------------------------------
    -53.7825431, -107.5341683 (new 17 coord)

And then plotted the new 17 grid

Next I took the new 17 coord and added it to 16 coord.... and so on
All together it took about 30 mins
After I plotted all the new coords onto google map, I took a screen shot of it and then transferred it over to a drawing program. I then connected all the dots in numerical order with straight lines.

The result appeared to look like a picture of the gate from the main menu, going east to west. However it wasn't exact, whereas I had extra lines that didn't match up properly, but I think I may have made a few mistakes with the math. However I am almost certain that this was the intent of the grids.

These were the grids that I calculated:

    18.) -53.7788772, -107.5341683
    17.) -53.7825431, -107.5417214
    16.) -53.7838745, -107.5411186
    15.) -53.783287, -107.5432511
    14.) -53.781147, -107.5423927
    13.) -53.7818069, -107.5404625
    12.) -53.7829132, -107.5408898
    11.) -53.7835617, -107.540184
    10.) -53.7807388, -107.5285263
    9.) -53.7834014, -107.527256
    8.) -53.7858276, -107.5392685
    7.) -53.7867774, -107.5409432
    6.) -53.7865523, -107.5388451
    5.) -53.7789039, -107.5423546
    4.) -53.7710915, -107.5330582
    3.) -53.7733497, -107.531807
    2.) -53.7809638, -107.5413819
1.) this is the same as coord 2

Again the picture is not perfect, probably due to the math, but it does resemble it.

Looking for someone to confirm this

    Faraway coordinates (map)

Attached are the photos of the coordinates I plotted. The first one Is how I calculated the coordinates as is, and the second on is slightly adjusted to represent the gate. Like I said, I believe I may have either mathematically miscalculated or imputed the coordinates wrongly. I already invested too much time to try and correct the mistake. Just looking for someone else to confirm I'm not crazy ;)

Don't know how to mask the photos to prevent spoils  sorry

That's really awesome, and the resemblance to a gate is wayyy too close to be a coincidence.

    Congrats @Johnrodler22 !!!
It was really cool to hunt the secrets and bugs with you on this game, and you finally discovered this easter egg, this is awesome !

Now we need MORE levels, this game is really good. :)

    From the devs :

"Warmer... you are 70-80% correct but still not correct. Sorry #
You are in the wrong place"

The hunt is not over ahah ! :)

    Faraway

Thanks for the feedback!!! 70-80%?!? Hahah close enough for me. I would like to see someone get this 100% accurate though. Maybe one day when I'm bored I'll pick it up and try again. This def was an interesting game... and they need to create more levels soon, with extra hidden eggs! And yes with all the cool glitches in level 0, they could try to incorporate something hidden within.. I was almost certain that the father was going to appear dead in level 0. anyways well worth the $$$

Thanks for your effort, I have noticed something so just wanted to share and wouldn't have been able to do that if it weren't for your effort.

I tried also inputting the dates of the notes and sorted them by the order of the dates, as we know the date of Lv 6 happened before Lv 5, so I sorted it. Also summing up the coordinates by order and plotting the solution on excel. The shape looks more like the gate, still wasn't quite exact. I also tried grouping them by month to see if they are separate shapes to be joined by the dots on a month to month basis but to no avail.

Still, the shape seems to be telling me that Lv 16 is where the solution lies, so I tried to go through every steps of the hints on Lv 16 and looking it through Lv 0, but couldn't find anything. Just sharing thoughts.

Another thought which I have yet to tried, since Lv 6 is the Lv where the notes were off-dates perhaps the solution is on one of the hints on that stage? Some of the hints will take you to walk a bit so I'm guessing that by looking through the hint lense on Lv 0, one of the hints might take us to a hint gate which may be the special bonus.

    next step with coordinates

I've figured a bit more about what's going on with the coordinates, though I haven't been able to relate it to level 0.

The key is figuring out where to start...

These are not absolute coordinates, they are relative coordinates.
I also plotted the first 17 as steps on a plane and got the diagram of a portal. Thanks for the earlier tip about ordering the steps by date instead of by level:

However, that doesn't give much clue about what to do with the coordinates of -53.7788772, -107.5341683 from note 3 on level 18. In absolute terms they just give a point on the oceans (though making them positive gives a spot near Lake Baikal in southern Siberia). What if they are also relative to something else? I began to review the text on the notes, and in particular the text on notes 3 seem to give clues:

Level 1: "Anadolu. Anadolu," she kept saying. I'm certain I came to the right place.
Level 2: "In Anadolu, they placed a beacon that shows the way," she whispered.
Level 4: I started at an ancient site on Earth, but this feels even older than 9000 BC.

Wikipedia tells us "Anadolu is the Turkish form of Anatolia, which refers to a region of the world that is now part of the nation of Turkey". Searching for ancient anadolu 9000 BC or ancient turkey 9000 BC quickly turns up en.wikipedia.org/wiki/G%C3%B6bekli_Tepe , the "World's Oldest Temple" according to National Geographic. Photos and descriptions of stone blocks and carvings seem to fit very well with the theme of the game.

Google maps gives us 37.2171641, 38.854393 for Gobekli Tepe. If we add -53.7788772, -107.5341683 we get -16.5617131, -68.6797753. Putting that into the maps takes us directly to Puma Punku in western Bolivia part of the Tiwanaku site. That site also has great stone carvings, dates stretching back to cover 9000 BC, and mysteries about it. Even an article speculating about connections to Gobekli Tepe - grahamhancock.com/newmanh2/

Much too good to be a coincidence - the game must be saying these ancient temples included a portal from Gobekli Tepe to Puma Punku / Tiwanaku which the characters follow.

Some notes and a chart of the coordinates, are at docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1Uj2jAzF87urFsAIoDRKOXCQdnAIcniUWBDf2UIKZyFo/

Now, is there a connection to Level 0 and more to come? Let's see if we can figure it out.

    Level 0 error

I LOVE THIS GAME. I really loved level 14. It was definitely the toughest puzzle.

I found all the letters, found level 0,
hidden under the 100% complete note
but I get an error on the level. It loads a blank map, no level rendering #.

Level 0, the strange coords and faraway 2.

I don't know if my level 0 is different because I'm running on Android OS? I get nothing except
a blank desert scape with no navigation capabilities
    .

Has anyone been able to verify if level 0 is just a happy glitch?

If not, I had some thoughts:
The character talks in his notes of being stuck in a place that isn't Earth (he knows that there is a distinction) and addicted to the black tar inside the pots. Level 0 from what I can tell of AppUnwrapper's walkthtough has a lot of shifting between this "pot-scape" and weird broken glitchy images of possibly broken pots? Maybe this is a sort of sad purgatory for him. Like he is stuck figuratively amongst the broken pots?

Then, if you factor in the above wrt the coords:
I would say that we have estabalished (I also plotted them myself) that the first 17 coords make a portal. Using Gobekli Tepe as a reference point (ie. coord 1) and then plotting the next 17 (remembering to adjust for the date discrepancy between Lvl 5 & 6), there is definitely a portal shape. The adjustments must be done consecutively however, so each new point becomes the reference coord for the adjustment on the letter/note.
If you finally do the same for the coords from Lvl 18, you get taken to (as well noted above) Tiwanaku in Bolivia.

MASSIVE SPOILER: This is ancient ruin jungle territory. Can someone say Faraway 2: Jungle Escape???

So perhaps the meta game is that you can either get stuck in black tar purgatory Lvl 0 or you can choose to venture through the portal into the jungle???

"Beyond this final gate lies the answer. It is the end of the road."
"An "end" is rarely the actual end. Paths continue on and on. You only choose how far you follow them."

I hope that's not too incoherent. I had the best time playing this game!
About to try Faraway 2 :):D
