I know a lot of gamers assume a game that has no price tag is going to require spending for enjoyment eventually, but I can tell you unequivocally that this is not the case. I have been playing since launch, and I have yet to spend a dime in-game (don't tell my boss). I've got a pair of level 16 veteran heroes leading 800 troops into battle, one doing front-line plague damage of 64,000 per turn defending my kingdom, and I've already opened 2 of the game's 'new lands'. The highest ranking players in the world have only opened one more than me. Those who choose to spend money on Jewels simply don't have as much subway time as me to play every day. Quite frankly, we've made some RPGs that we are very proud of in the past, and this is our first foray into the strategy MMO field. We are very happy with the results, and we just want to get it in the hands of as many gamers as possible, to build a community that we can listen to, and help our game evolve. That's the reason we've gone free to play. I'm also here to answer any questions or field any suggestions you have about ROC, Exitium, and Fantastic Knight going forward. I keep an eye on this TA forum, but can also be contacted directly, as can rich1million. I would love to hear feedback from those of you who have tried the game! undeadcow Well-Known Member Dec 4, 2010 9,493 2 36 Houston, TX #11 undeadcow, Jan 3, 2013 @JBerg - Will we see Dragon Sword and/or Blade Master return to iOS at any point? Thanks in advance? nightc1 Well-Known Member Oct 19, 2012 4,362 0 0 AL #12 nightc1, Jan 3, 2013 @undeadcow, thanks for that info filled post about the various games by this dev. Grabbed Fantastic Knight. @the dev, this new game sounds good but a bit too involving for me. I like deep games and all but I'm mainly interested games I can invest maybe a month at most with when I have time to game, finish and move on to something else. I don't purchase IAP so the grind has to be manageable in a short enough time to keep me interested. Consumable IAP just isnt an option for me since once used its gone and if I'm going to buy something consumable it needs to exist in the real world. I will buy games though. Make more games with a paid version and a free trial version and it could get my money. Not that one gamer means much in the big picture, but its atleast some feedback. Honestly, personally, I felt much the same for a long time. On the PC side, games like World of Tanks and the upcoming Warface from Crytek (saw it in action over a year ago - WOW!) have changed my mind completely. I have been addicted to WOT for about a year now, and while the IAP in that game makes it a bit easier to get a better tank quickly, it doesn't teach you how to use it. This is much the same in our game, and I'm quite proud of how it works out. In the end, I guess all I can say is that there really is no reason you cannot enjoy this game in its entirety without ever spending a dime, and as this isn't really a straight RPG, 'the grind' isn't what you might imagine it to be. This is a strategy game at its core, with kingdom building as an aside. You'll be leveling up heroes primarily by doing battle with similarly leveled real-world players, not hacking and slashing against endless hordes of skeletons or dark cultists to get to the next level to open something up. To each his own, though, so thanks for letting me know your perspective. Don't be afraid to try some AAA free-to-play titles, though, at least. There are some serious gems out there!
