How many have you got? and do you try to collect them? Reason I ask is that I have just added an Openfeint leaderboard to my 'work in progress' game but am wondering if it is worth adding the achievements and points as well? Cheers Ivan
75,600 total so far. Yes I collect them. I search out games that have them. Games that use OpenFeint and don't include achievements are a waste
I find that the points are kind of useless... Wouldn't be nice if you could acually use the points some how xD?
There's no reason to have them except to collect. I personally like achievements even though I don't have much.
Zincous, 75000 points, you freak! I have about 1250 now. I got several hundred playing JCS never really paid attention to OF before then. I was at around 4-500 pts and then after playing JCS for a while I was suddenly at like 850
Zincous would be extremely happy if he could exchange his OpenFeint points for real life prizes. Unfortunately, he can't.
Achievements/Awards ROCK! I'm a developer AND an avid player on both OpenFeint and Agon Online. I love achievements since they add additional value for "some" players by adding a meta challenge to the game. There are plenty of players though that could care less, but I think they are all but an expectation to have at this point. If designed correctly taking into account all the different kinds of players out there and finding ways to mesh them with your game design, then you definitely have something. Not every player will earn them all, but if they are spaced out well they do incentivize continued play since they are essentially micro-rewards. We're looking into giving OpenFeint a try in future games though and would like to hear what other players think. Feel free to add me on Agon or OF. I know I will be working on raising my OF points up over the next few weeks since I'll be doing some traveling. It's a good thing, because I feel like my OF score is anemic compared to my Agon score. -Randy
They get addicting. Over the course of this weeken I have more than doubled my OF score from about 1500 to over 3000. I'm actually looking for some games that have easy or large achievements.

I have about 2000 points on OF Just a note though, some games give easy points, some dont (GeoSpark is rather stingy ), so I dont really see any benefit of the points since they are not really balanced
