^Nothing close to M64, and I agree it's one of the best games ever made. As far as action adventure platforming goes, Swordigo's your best bet on iOS. That, and Crazy Hedgy. Then there are the Lego titles as well, i recommend checking out Star Wars Saga and Batman/DC. As for 3D adventure games, there Oceanhorn, Lili, Bastion, Ravensword Shadowlands... I know, i know... These arent even close to what M64 is
Well sunshine was the follow up and that was pretty good on the gamecube. Mario galaxy was excellent.
Banjo Kazooie On ios - Soozis(it's a 2d version of it) Nothing really I can think of in 3d which sucks..
That Mickey Mouse castle of illusion, very similar to super Mario 64, it's actually one of the better games I've played on ios, but because of its full price tag and NO IAP I don't think many people have played it.
Not at all. Presume you haven't played Mario 64? Super mario 64 was a 3d platformer, nothing like super frog
I really do think that castle of illusion is the closest to supermario 64 on ios. It has amazing graphics and it feels like a mix between crash bandicoot and supermario gameplay wise, and it's not easy, at first I thought it would be but it's actually quite hard to collect everything even in the first level. There is also the option to get supermario 64 on your device without jail breaking, just download RetroArch from here http://emu4ios.net It runs Nintendo 64 games.
Many platform games are like a super mario game But the guy asked for a Mario 64 game. That game was the first '3d' Mario game unlike all the other standard platformers. So suggesting normal Mario land games is totally wrong as he's after a Mario 64 game. So I wouldn't suggest you say if you don't know what Mario 64s like!
Another game totally wrong! Has anyone bothered to read the initial post? He wants games like super Mario 64. So google that game or search on YouTube Mario 64 was the first 3d style Mario game. So he obviously doesn't want a normal platform game Arrrrrgh
Rayman 2 is no longer available on the AppStore, gameloft has removed a couple of other games too such as avatar.
a few recommendations that haven't been mentioned yet... Angel In Danger is another I came across recently, they are really pushing it as a "Mario 3D" kinda game... it's a good looking game, but I haven't played much because I found the controls to be somewhat lacking... there's a free version as well you can try out... https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/angel-in-danger-3d-free/id907030448?mt=8 https://itunes.apple.com/ca/app/angel-in-danger-3d/id905477325?mt=8 I think the biggest problem with both of these games is the stationary camera angle. if you remember Mario 64 the camera is free-roaming and follows you around kinda like third-person shooter... both iSaveU and Angel in Danger have just one stationary camera angle, although I noticed once or twice in iSaveU the camera does shift around at specific points to give you a better viewpoint... its still not free-roaming though. if Angel in Danger had a free-roaming camera it would probably solve all the control issues for me... its not as much a problem in iSaveU because the controls feel pretty tight. to illustrate my point here's another game I came across, that I'm not actually recommending as anything close to Mario 64 (looks like it was made as a school project or something, so its not actually a well developed game...), but one thing it does have going for it is a free-roaming camera! its very short, only 4 levels... called Aquius. https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/aquius/id912979268?mt=8 Sphoxie is another game you might be into, it's not strictly like Mario 64, but it is a really cool kind of 3D platformer... it's got a free version as well you can try out (the free version seems to start differently than the paid, I'd recommend them both, lol). https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/sphoxie-free/id583702551?mt=8 https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/sphoxie/id558189485?mt=8
OceanHorn is really the most similar I think although it's more of a Zelda 64 clone than Mario 64. Regardless same style of game except for the having weapons and spells.
