Well, strangely, though I somehow did it the first time without trying, I haven't been able to figure out how to get back in there since.

For English, well some english, set the top 6 options to the right.
Then go to the very bottom left option and press the A button. |

thanks for the help. that translated the menus, but most of the other stuff is all hieroglyphics still..
did seem to look a little better than the other one. lets hope a real translation surfaces soon, cause i'd would spend the 9.99 or what ever the other one costed again. can't get enough dungeon crawlers. |

Hi all,
I just discovered this forum as well as Wizardry Prisoner of the Battles during the past week. I've downloaded the "lite" version as available on USA itunes and quite love it. I use an iphone (USA - AT&T). I realize that the full version is available on itunes Japan for $38ish, more than normal games would cost. I also realize that I don't understand all the Japanese, but the features of Dumapic (Wizard Eye) which just shows a map based on where I've explored, combined with other fun new spells, really exceed any negatives. With the phone I can just screen-shot the map and work easily that way. How can I just buy it? I'm willing... Also are there other Wizardry games that can be played on the iphone? I know there's the Labyrinth one but I haven't gotten started with it yet. I'd rather just buy a game for one price (even if high) as opposed to having to pay subscription or being nickle & dimed. I never got past Wizardry 3, back in 1985ish, so I guess I'm finally ready to try to make up for lost time, ha ha. In the late '90s I found some online game emulators and probably played Wizardry 1, but now I'm more interested in playing whatever is possible on a more modern (ie less-time-wasted-on-data-loading) system :-) Thanks Michael |

Works great. A lot more of the game is in English now, including the options menu.
