Are the campaigns self contained for the most part? For example, if I skipped the suneaters campaign, would the next campaign (deep wood something?) make sense?

Hmm... Well, the campaigns are all tied together but I do think that you can skip Suneaters and Deepwood Dragoons, and still be able to get the gist of the story. It's just that you'll miss certain nuances or miss the significance of some stuff that happens in the future if you do. Also, it'd be a real pity to skip Deepwood Dragoons. While Raven's Rise was the most epic, I had the most fun with Deepwood Dragoons. I'll just say that the Sotrans have some neat stuff for you to mess around with. The Suneaters campaign tells the story from the Kaysan perspective, and it's more to showcase the dynamics and the relationships between their characters and understanding their motives. Hope that helped.

You're really missing out. Personally the Suneater campaign was one of my favorites. Several of the chapters in the campaign are still some of my favorites in the game, so much so that I went through the effort of getting gold stars on each one. If you like larger battles, you will like the Suneater campaign.

Hey all fellow ravenmark fans. I'm stuck on Vermin's Nest on the Suneaters Campaign. I always come close to getting the 3 medals but fail at the end usually due to the enemy archers taking out too many of my troops. It's driving me nuts! wish us Suneaters had some fast cavalry on this mission.
