Hmm I'm not sure here, is there more to the combat that I'm missing or do you just press fight then have to press on your opponent to attack and that's it
I can see this getting boring quick if that's it, especially as the characters just stand at either side of the screen and don't actually even fight.

With so many games >100MB and enough hitting the 2GB limit that it is noticeable:
Why do you think this still matters?
If your app is larger than 50MB it cannot be downloaded via cellular connection, only on wifi and USB. Mostly this increases your accessibility in the US, where most people have unlimited data plans. In Europe and Asia where cellular bandwidth is premium/ pay per use, I think that most people are gotten in the habit of downloading games connected to a local computer.

Since our game is free, we wanted to make sure that people could make an impulse download and try it out where ever they are connected.

Sounds very reasonable, thanks a lot for explaining your decision.

Now, onto the game itself:
Graphics look nice enough, no complaints there.

Gameplay is a whole different story, unfortunately:
Attacking indeed only consists of tapping on your opponent. Later on you can use items and skills, but that's about it, as far as I can see.
The missions are just "tap to fill a bar" thingies, huge disappointment. I was expecting some real missions here.
Comparing what money I earned in ~1 hour of playing to the prices I see, it will take ages to get anything of the better equipment.

I definitely see some potential here, but right now the game goes back onto the shelf, it simply does not offer enough.
Come back with more substance to your game, and I will be happy to shell out some bucks for it.

Some suggestions for the developers:
- Like someone else wrote, add stats for the mechs. So you can pick between e.g. a fast but weak chassis, a slow tank, a glass cannon, something in between.
- Make the combat more interesting by adding different options: Blocking with your shield instead of attacking, for example. Or a harder-hitting special attack that you need to charge up for a round.
- Add real singleplayer missions. Look at "Tunnel Tail" for example. The missions are not complicated, but they still manage to tell small stories with them.

Our energy update (v1.25) has been approved by apple and is now live in the app store. This update will now max your energy bar when the app is closed by recharging your energy up to your max value @ the rate of 1 unit per minute.

Thanks to everyone that's given us feedback in this thread. Your comments have helped us a lot to plan out what changes are most important to make the best game and also to decide how to improve our future games.
