So... it just skipped NZ? Or what's going on?

EDIT: Also... I'm confused. The "HD" version says it's compatible with:

"iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPod touch (3rd generation), iPod touch (4th generation) and iPad."

So.. would there be any benefit to choosing this version for a 3GS/iPod touch (3rd gen) user? Would it look any better even without retina display?

 

Maybe it's Ausland?

 

Dont think its coming to NZ. Id doesnt have any apps in the NZ store for some reason. To check wether it'll be out in your country or not, just check if other id apps (paid ones, like Doom resurrection) are available in your store. If those apps are not there, this wont release there either.

 

Cheap! And just as touch Arcade posts about its imminent release too!

 

If it skipped NZ does that mean its going to just be a AUS release for now, or should us US folks spam refresh tonight?

 

Wow! Was looking forward to it, but that's huge. Why, oh why, did I get an 8 GB? Have to decide if I want to ditch a lot of apps to make room for it.

I would guess not. According to John Carmack's twitter:

"without the higher resolution display of the 4g/iPad, the HD version is somewhat wasted on the 3GS."

 

That's interesting. I would have thought there would be more to it than just high resolution graphics and maybe something with the shaders that the older models could not handle.

Wow, the game is very cheap. I was expecting it would cost over $5 (closer to $10).

Any reason for the low price? Is the game very short? I'm assuming no one knows yet
