Multispace is coming out on OSX, too

If everything goes well we'll get that Mac Developer account next week, and after that it should take only a couple of days to submit the OSX version of Multispace to Apple's Mac Store as we've already tested it a lot. Anyway, I'll keep you posted.

Matches between iOS devices and OSX devices work, though fast OSX MacbookPros have the upper hand, because of the low latency keyboard controls.

v1.0.7 coming out in a week or two...

Ok, I'll submit v1.0.7 update to Multispace today or latest tomorrow to Apple. Here's what's inside:

* Added AI players
* An AI player can automatically host matches, too
* Added OVERSCAN to Settings screen for people who play on TV (anyone?)
* One cannot collide with a base flagpole any longer
* Misc GUI improvements
* Positioned clear camera in local 3P mode so that it doesn’t show the playfield
* No damage when colliding with a base
* Gravity doesn’t affect physics object mines
* Background stars work now better in local 2-4P modes
* Optimized background rendering
* Added support for longer hostnames in direct connection dialog
* Added IsStatic-property to physics objects

So after this update is out it's possible to play against AI opponent(s), and also online. I'll be putting one of my machines to host a match on the match making server so there's always "somebody" playing the game online.

Oh yes, and after I've submitted that iOS version to Apple, I'll start to work on the OSX version of the game. We already got the developer account up and running, and I've been developing the game using Unity on my MacBook Pro from the beginning, so it shouldn't take long until I can submit that OSX version to Mac Store as well.

v1.0.7 is out!

Here's the final CHANGELOG:

* Added AI players
* An AI player can automatically host matches, too
* Screen now autorotates in landscape mode
* One cannot collide with a base flagpole any longer
* Misc GUI improvements
* Positioned clear camera in local 3P mode so that it doesnt show the playfield
* No damage when colliding with a base
* Gravity doesnt affect physics object mines
* Background stars work now better in local 2-4P modes
* Optimized background rendering
* Added support for longer hostnames in direct connection dialog
* Added IsStatic-property to physics objects, and made some
* Added OVERSCAN to Settings screen for people who play on TV
* Local players 3 and 4 are forced to use AI as they cannot be properly controlled on an iOS device

...

The OSX version has been rejected twice as OSX approval team has some weird networking problems that I cannot reproduce. I guess their LAN is too secure, configured so that it's not a good environment for games, so there's not much I can do but add more error messages and instruction pop-ups until the game passes validation.

It might be that Multispace is not coming to OS X. Apple rejected the OS X build again, because the game cannot find a match hosted on the same network. That's what they tell me.

Don't worry, the game should hit Windows Store in the future.

As we got around $15 from our two games (Multispace made total $1), we took our games down, and liquidated the company. Personally I'm going to exit the games business in the near future.
