I'd suggest social networking sites - Facebook, primarily to make a page about either the game or developer. You could always also advertise it on TA or other gaming sites, too. Other than that, I usually find games via word of mouth or those options.

We won't sale someone else games, why should we? We are dedicated game development studio with 100 people, there is no reason for us to hazard with credibility of our main communication channels. Those Facebook pages are dedicated for our games and players. BTW, TrainStation Facebook page won an award from Facebook for the best gaming page, we won over games like Candy Crush Saga. So there is no way we are promoting other games than our own

There is a lot you can do (everything takes time) - Keywords is the best - Social (include in game) - website, forums like Touch Arcade - video (youtube and other sites). I am hesitant about paying for reviews and sites unless I know people who are proven, there are a lot of people who are making money off marketing, but developers dont make there money back, just be careful.
