      Does anyone know of any (English Language) Visual Novels on the iPod Touch/iPhone? It's hard to find any since most are in Japanese or have strange names (like "Twilight Cherry"). English only, please.

      There is one, but for the life of me i can't remember which keyword made it show up in my iTunes search. I do remember the company was a japanese one that had only one game translated to english. Sorry i can't help more.

      Also, Phoenix Wright is kind of a visual novel, too.

      Bar Oasis is around that criteria... though I personally don't enjoy it much at all...

      If you want a good graphic novel outside the iPhone, try Persepolis or Watchmen.

      strange names are the norm for Visual Novels, haha. strange =/= abnormal

      currently only Japanese, although the app description says they are working on an English version.

      Higurashi will be completely freaking awesome once it gets translated into English. The App Store description says that they're working on it. I've watched the anime, and if the visual novel is anywhere near as good it will absolutely murder everything else available.

      Yes, Kira Kira is very very good. Must have for anyone interested in visual novel.

      How is "Twilight Cherry"? I just found out that this game exists today. Found this thread while searching for it. I guess there is no game thread, just this generic visual novel one.

      Visual novels in english that i know of:
      - Kira Kira
      - Gift
      - Twilight Cherry

      Please let me know if there are more.

      I couldn't really say much, because I have only played Twilight Cherry so far. I don't know how it compares to other visual novels on the iDevice. It isn't badly written, but the English translation is.

      Higurashi When They Cry is out since some days.
      The first episode is free and its totally awesome! I think it's better than the anime.
      The story is very exciting and gruesome. I love it.

      Thanks, getting Higurashi now.

      Also bought Twilight Cherry. Yeah, the translation is bad. But good enough to understand the story. Better than japanese.

      SkyMuffin, make sure to try Kira Kira, there is a lite version. The translation there is good since they just use the one from the PC game. Even comparing to visual novels on the PC, where there are more selections, Kira Kira is one of my favorite.

      Higurashi ep 1 is not free any more. Now 99c. But still worth it for people who miss the free period.
