Just asking this on the off-chance:

Is anyone else experiencing issues with their Game Center scores being wiped / reset every now and then? Achievements are fine for me and are being retained, but the leaderboards are resetting themselves at least once a day. It appeas to be affecting just me of all my GC friends, so I'm curious to put the word out and see if it is affecting others too?

Thanks

Game Impressions

If you absolutely must fly into enemy AA, take as high an altitude as possible, as Sid pointed out:

Man, this game is awesome. I bought the Great Britain campaign, and have played a few missions in that so far, starting over after playing the tutorial and the few free missions.

How replayable is that campaign? Also, if you choose a mission, do the others dissappear? So do you have to replay the campaign and take different "routes" through it to play all of the missions?

Also, this game could really use a skirmish mode, imo. Unless there is one and I'm missing it.

The campaigns are very replayable, but it is important to understand their nature. The game has some 120 missions (not sure if that really means 120 different mission titles or a much smaller number with a few map variants) and for each run of a nationality's campaign you'll run through 24 of them (20 of these missions will be from your choice of 3 offers and 4 will be big end of campaign boss fights).

The point of this is that each run through a campaign will be a little different but since all of the nations' campaigns are done the same way, they'll all play out in an identical manner even if you play as the Axis (Germans). The key difference in choosing a given nation then is its national perk (just introduced in v1.3) and planes (all with very unique stats and therefore different styles of play).

Ah, cool. I'll probably pick up the pack of USA, Germany, and France after playing through the GB campaign for a while. Is it fairly easy to tell which missions you have already been through so you know which ones to choose to eventually play all of them or do you just need to try to remember (or write down, lol) which ones you've already been through?

Well, like I said, I'm not sure what that 120 number means and, odds are, you'll see a few multiple times even in just a couple of play throughs. While I think there are many unique mission titles, the missions break down to just a few different types (fighter sweep, bomber run, recon escort, train intercept, balloon busting, and boss fights).

The devs have stated their next update will add some more "mission variety", not sure what they mean by this but it should be interesting.

So could any of the pros confirm, is the map for a given named mission fixed (same terrain and enemy spawn points) or randomized a bit each time?

Yeah, just spotted that myself. Here are the headlines:

Over 60 NEW missions spanning four nations (50% more content added to the game!)
New missions include things like flying bombers and recon planes, taking on a squadron of fighters solo, and shooting down heavily protected key targets
General enhancements to improve playability

Outstanding update!

I'm still playing the multiplayer regularly and need some people that play this so feel free to add me on GameCenter: (Twenty-One)

I also started an "add me thread for Ace Patrol a few months ago but NOBODY has replied in it. http://forums.toucharcade.com/showthread.php?t=189617

A message for the Admins:

On that note, I really think that we need separate sections for "add me" threads and "MMO codes" because nobody really sees it or they think they are both just for those MMO codes ....and very few people harldy ever reply to them. There needs to be a way to distinguish the 2!

Xbox - Playstation - Nintendo - iOS - Android

Just checked this morning and on my iPod touch 5 with iOS 7, I can install this game now. I don't get the missing digital compass message!
