Hey Guys I'm back! So this is my second game, Fridger! The concept of the game is simple get Fridger to the Ice Cubes. But unlike most puzzle games where you slide things one by one, block by block, in Fridger, you slide everything at once. The game will feature touch and/or tilt controls (I think all puzzle games should be playable with one hand) The range of the difficulty can vary from easy to hard (most find it hard). Note: I plan to have an online daily/weekly puzzle (that won't have the par listed) that will allow users to submit their highscore with a name and email, and hopefully if there's enough interest in the game I can hold contests and prizes. That's something I'd like to achieve Here's some screen shots, I'll have a video out for it some time
Thanks! Here's just the uhh...slightly more spiffed up video The Game will be out Tuesday Oct 6th 2009
I tested this game out, it is good. I prefer the touch controls to the tilt. I'll be looking forward to its release(the final version).
Excellent looking game! Its like Ivory Tiles (but more puzzle adventure). The levels shown in the video look pretty simple though. Do they get much much harder? I also only see very few gameplay elements (the snow boulder and the hole). Are there more?
Freedog, no I haven't got sound effects or music in, I'm not sure if I plan on it, perhaps sound effects? There are 4 things other than Fridger in the game, a Stationary Object, a Snowball, Hole, and an Ice Trap. Easy levels take on avg 7 moves Medium levels take avg 13 moves Hard levels take on avg 18 moves I know it doesn't sound like a lot, but these are the minimum amount of moves required. From the people I've tested with these are hard enough but if the community feedback says they want harder levels, they shall be harder, I probably plan to include the daily feature + more levels in the next update
the gameplay is good, more sounds would've been good to go with it. Oh well the game is out now so everything goes to the new thread.
