Looks really good, though I don't find the blank background very attractive. I don't know, try some grainy hot color to make the green stand out, maybe?
Your inbox might be full. But yeah I agree with what you said, I think the blank background will look a little weird on the icon. Other than that, I think it looks awesome. The eyes are especially cool Looking forward to seeing what Feroze comes up with, I like the debris idea. Also, just saw the website and the screenshot you posted. I'm glad it's getting close!
